"Why are movie based games so bad? This represents a fundamental problem with the psyche of the game developer and businessman"

The creator of the Terminator series obviously didn't do his homework with this company. He apparently thought he was contributing to gaming society by allowing this company to put together a linear, resident evil type mess. Traditionally, movie based games are terrible simply because companies think they can slap something together and it will sell based on the popularity of the movie. Either the developers are retarded, or the movie makers are for allowing them to do this, or both, because this is completely ridiculous. You should have no problems creating a good game off of the Terminator series, and if they can make a good game off of Lord of the Rings, they can do so with Terminator.

Gameplay[1]
It is primarily third person perspective, which eliminates the feeling of the player being in the thick of the action first off. Not to bash third person perspective games, but you are commonly losing something by going this route. Games like Max Payne have perfected third person gaming- The Army Men series, God bless them after 20 games are still learning. The man moves slowly and it's like he's running on a treadmill and thinking he's going somewhere like a damn dummy. Oh! Wait! You can go into first-person perspective mode, but... Oh no! You can't move while in first person mode! The action boils down to this: You go into first person mode to get headshots which are really easy to do since the enemies are extremely slow, while standing there absorbing damage. Or you could mindlessly circle the target and empty a clip into them destroying them, and do that all throughout the game. Boring! The enemies aren't scary enough like in the movies, aren't fast, aren't powerful, and are pretty stupid. I expected to fight an army of Arnolds and all I got was an army of Woody Allens.[I like Woody Allens movies though but you get my point] The feeling that you were in a war wasn't there, there were no serious threats like in Resident Evil where a hunter could kill you in one hit. You will be pampered in this game, and you will have everything you need and more, further depreciating the value of the game, and making it so boring.

Graphics[4]
This is a no no. Bad company, bad! Playstation 2 is capable of better things. The graphics are dark, uninspired, and the level designs aren't creative enough. I want the enemies to look like real enemies and have the fires of hell in their eyes. The graphics aren't that great to keep anybody interested or even make this game memorable.

Sound[7]
The sound is o.k. Nothing really spectacular or anything that stands out.

This game was doomed when some jerk off said, ''Hey everybody, I have an idea!'' How in the world did he or she convince them to make a game like this. Terminator: Dawn of Fate, is just another poor game made off of a great movie just like the hundreds of others. Let's all think for a moment who these developers are based on their work- either they need to go back to school or they don't care about life in general and hate their jobs. Look at American Idol, everyone of those buffoons thinks they're great singers, but are they? No! Just because you know how to program, don't mean you'll create a good game. These devolopers don't have a creative bone in their body, and if they can make it in the world, I'm the lord Jesus Christ! What's wrong is that they'll get paid their weekly salary whether or not the game sells so they don't give a damn. That is exactly why movie games always stink.
