The X-Files: Resist or Serve

"Better than Silent Hill 3"
This is a review from a person who never watches the show. I bought this for $29.99 dollars when it came out. I've played it for about 6 hours so far, and I'm very impressed(I still haven't played Scully's scenario, though). Why am I impressed? It's because the producers of the show, who are obviously talented writers, have lent a big hand in the production of this game. Not since Silent Hill 2 have I played a Survival Horror game this engaging and emotionally taxing. Every adventure/Horror game should strive to be like this. It has unique gameplay, excellent sound/music, crisp and realistic graphics, and humorously clever dialogue. If you were slightly dissipointed by the lack of SH 2 magic in Silent Hill 3, then I think you should try this game. Heck, you don't even have to be a fan of the genre. This game has has easy puzzles, and more action than most Survival horror games.
GRAPHICS: 10/10
I love it. The backgrounds are detailed, the flash light and other realistic lighting effects are so good, and it that's great because it makes you feel like you're there doing what they're doing.
SOUND: 10/10
This is very important for an adventure game, an Resist or Serve does an excellent job at creating a unique ambience. When you see a dead body, you'll hear a shreiking sound that'll send shivers down a spine. Or maybe a cat/monster will be hiding in a fridge and you'll hear the cat trying to get out by the sound of a ''Thump!!.'' Music plays at some points; there's even some relaxing music to fill the gap in between intense events.
GAMEPLAY: 9/10
Search for clues to crack the case, like a true detective. You'll get unique equipment like Night Vision goggles, and you can create a Molotav Cocktail. The Inventory is just like Resident Evil where you can mix stuff to create something unique or examine notes. Scully's is more puzzle-driven, and you'll have fun. One involves an alien autopsy.
Control: 7/10
The camera angles are awful. You can't even manually control them. You'll use every button in combat probably, so read the instruction manual. You can switch to your weapon or flashlight on the Fly, but it's not fast enough, which will cause you to lose some health points during a fight.
Overall: 9/10
Sure, it has some flaws(Camera), but it didn't ruin my fun with this game. You'll probably be to engaged into the game, and probably won't even notice or even care. Buy this game without fail. You don't see too many good games starting at $29.99 dollars, do you????
