World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 International
Review by limpbizkitfan1988
"A great game but not perfect."
When i bought this game i was obsessed with it for about two months. I thought it was the perfect soccer game able to be made today. I still think its the best game out today but it is not perfect.
Graphics: The graphics are amazing and all widely known players look like they do in TV. Also while playing you get to see a lot of things that make this game look like live football (like when someone scores the movement of the net when the ball touches it is like in real life.). Maybe fifa 2004 has a bit better graphics but that doesn't really matter in a soccer game does it?
Score: 8/10
Sound. First of all the sound when you are not playing is great since it is not putting you to sleep. The in-game sound is amazing. The commentators comments are wonderful and the sound of the crowd is magnificent. Compared to PES 2 the sound is much better.
Score: 8.5/10
Gameplay: Now this is why most people prefer this game to any other football game. The gameplay of this game is far more superior to the other games. However, even though that is true it still doesn't reach live football. First of all the referee is pathetic. It takes 1 and a half months of practice to learn how to tackle someone without getting a card or at least a few yellow cards. Furthermore, when in higher difficulties, when the opposite player takes the ball from you your player is usually unable to act immediately. In addition to that, it is real frustrating when you pass to your player and he just waits for the ball. The most frustrating part however is when the opponents score from crosses. In this case its only the defenders' fault and not yours. The goalies need improvement too but it is not something unbearable. Despite all this I will still give the gameplay a
Score: 7.5/10 (I know someone might say that I am scoring so low because I have a problem beating the master league in 5* but that is not the case)
Modes: This game consists of 4 modes. Master league, exhibition match, League mode and training mode. The most attractive is the master league mode. This amazing mode allows you to start with your team in division 2 with some really bad players and walk your way through to 1st place in division 1. Throughout this you get points with which you buy better players. If they had more teams then the modes would be much more better and this section would get a 10.
Score 9/10
Difficulty: There are five difficulties raging from 1 star to 5 stars. When you reach 3 stars the game starts becoming really difficult but you will eventually be able to beat the best team in 5 stars. I have this game for about two months and i am playing in 5 stars with no real difficulty.
Score: 8/10
Rent or buy: Buy even if you are not a huge fan of the sport.
Overall: Another drawback is that editing in this game is real hard. In order to keep your team up to date you have to spend hours editing since you cannot transfer one player from one team to another (well you can but you actually have to exchange two players between the teams). This game also has just a few licences of teams and therefore you don't get to see most kits, you have to change the names of the teams and of some players etc. However this game is a lot of fun and well worth buying, you will spend weeks playing the master league mode and playing with your friends. I might have been a bit strict on the scores but I don't like it when people just put 10's because they are obsessed with the game and do not spot its drawbacks.
