Street Fighter EX3

"Well what do ya know? My first review is GAMEFAQ's first PS2 review, and thank goodness, ITS A GREAT GAME!"

Well, this would be my first review for any game, so I think it would be smart to give you all a little background information on who you know (and hopefully like), MISAWA. I was born in Osaka, Japan and I moved to Los Angeles CA, temp., because my dads a JAPAN AIR pilot, and thats why i could get my PS2 so easily. Anyway, I speak and read Nihon-Go (Japanese) fluently, and I feel confident that this is a game Japanese speaking people and English speaking people alike can enjoy.
ON TO THE REVIEW
Gameplay - 10/10 This game excels unbelieveable here, because of all you can do. There is a tag team mode similar to the VS series, and there are double team supers. You can do a tatsumakisenpuukyaku and from there nail a shinkuu tatsumakisenpukyaku! You can do this like any other game has combos. Also, you can link your super combos together so that you can use a DOUBLE SUPER COMBO, which is devistation! You can pick guile, and use the hold back 5 sec forward, back, forward, kick and then link it to a super flash kick, down/back(5sec)down/forward, down/back, up/forward Kick, and then you will do more damage. Added to this, there are METEO attack that use up ALL OF YOUR SUPER METER. If you are thinking ''oh this must be boring old same old street fighter'' you are WRONG. Have you heard of SKULLOMANIA? have you heard of DOCTRINE DARK, GARUDA, SHARON, NANASE, or anyone other than ryu ken akuma and dahlsim? anyway, the point here is, this game has GREAT GAMEPLAY
Story - N/A This really doesnt apply to this, or any fighting game other than dragon ball z indainaru dragon booru densetsu, or LEGENDS, but I guess i can go a little in depth here. There is something called original mode, where you recruit tag team partners on your way to victory, but thats kind of all the story there is...SORRY
Audio/Video - 10/10. I dont see how any playstation2 game can get lower! The sound is crisp, clear, and can be catchy! The graphics have NO GLITCHES, whatsoever. this games definately the best looking street fighter i have ever played(and ive played em all)
Replayability - 10/10 If you are playing this game, i am sure you have played TEKKEN, 1, 2, 3, or TAG TOURNAMENT. As the case with this game, Tekken has it so whenever you beat the game you get hidden character. Same here! I think there are nine hidden characters, but there could be more! Among them are AREA, VEGA(bison), SAGAT, SHADOWGEIST, HAYATE, GARRUDA, DARUN, and many more!
To buy or to rent? - If you have a japanese playstation2, this game is the best game other than ridge racer five you will find in japan or america until tekken tag tournament comes out. You will be very thrilled and excited with the game. I even suggest this to people who absolutely detest street fighter. JUST GIVE IT A TRY IF YOU DONT WANNA BUY IT AND YOU KNOW SOMEWHERE TO RENT IT. I GAURENTEE YOU WILL WANT TO BUY IT :)
