"This is not a game for older Bionicle fans"

Both my brother and I are slight Bionicle toy line fans.
Though it was my brother who got this game, I was actually the first to play and beat it. When my brother got this game, I actually had hopes for it. However, within hours of the moment we purchased the game, I was able to say it was one of the worst games I have ever played.

Graphics: 3/10
The moment I saw the screen shots on the back of the box, I knew something was wrong. The graphics are terrible. The characters are blurry. The animations are rough. The lip-sync is poor. The cut scenes are ugly. The only things that are somewhat good are the effects, which are still bad. The PS2 could provide much better graphics.

Sound: 5/10
The sound isn't too bad or good. It is basic Bionicle beats and sounds to fit the occasion. The sound effects are actually fairly good, but the repetitive music brings down the score.

Gameplay: 2/10
This is horrible. You can jump, shield, charge, shoot energy, triple energy attack and sometimes do a special action. There are eight short levels, three of which are ''vehicle'' levels and one is a fight. You get a level for each of the toa except the red one, who gets two. The levels are straightforward: basically navigate obstacles to get to the next area, and there are no secret areas or special items. The only toa powers you get are cheap mask powers which are built to fit the level.

Story: 4/10
You get to play out the basic Bionicle story, which isn't really too bad, but in this game it's played out very poorly. One example is the scene where they turn into the toa nuva; they float around and spin and pop out as toa nuva.

Replay value (game life): 1/10
I beat this game in less than two hours. The only things you would want to replay it for are the extras, which aren't worth the little time and effort spent getting them. There are no multiplayer or secret game modes or anything like that to make you want to play the game again.

Overall: 3/10
This is a poor game that even Bionicle fans should avoid. Even if you want to look into the game, at the most rent it. My brother was one who made the mistake of buying this game. It might be worth it for a little kid new to video games, but it can be beaten with ease and grows old quickly.
