"100 rings and still counting"

This is one of the most exciting FPS games ever. By that term I mean first person stabber. In this game you are a quiet soldier whom happens to be going to a town and run into a little incident, which triggers the start of the game. You take the role of Cain Morrigan in this epic adventure, which has been summoned to this town out in the middle of nowhere. The story line doesn't pick up too fast, but from what there is in the game you can enjoy it.

Story 8

There isn't much to the story line in this tale. It is kind of a generic structure but it still can be entertaining to an extent. You start out in a cave and you are trying to find a town to become a knight in there service. Something goes wrong and from there you start your journey for the eternal ring.

Game Play 9

The game play has its ups and downs. You get to summon magic, which is always a bonus in an RPG. One of the sad things in the fighting is you run, attack, dodge, run, attack, and dodge. It gets repetitive but in the process you can have some really close times when you about kick the bucket, but you managed to dodge the fierce blow. The walking of course is simple you press up and you can strafe in this game which I find a very helpful item to the game.

Sound 8

The sound in this game is spectacular. Songs in this game even for the length of it are not repetitive like shorter games. The creature's sound effects aren't the greatest but at least they make some noise to let you know they are there. The magic even has its own special noises that can be a little strange sounding but also great at the same time. They even varied the characters accents to spice up the variety.

Graphics 8

The graphics have a well deserving 10. Even though it may not be to the best extent of the ps2 it still has its stronger points. The detail in the surroundings is quite amazing. The magic spells can be extravagant for how short they may be. The characters have great detail to them. The only bad thing about the graphics would have to be when the characters move; they look quite funny.

Story 8/10
Game play 9/10
Sound 8/10
Graphics 8/10
Overall 8/10

My final overall score will have to be a 8 out of 10. This game has well deserved it with keeping me so interested into the story and the excitement of the game play. So in conclusion if you like First Person Stabbers such as Kingsfield, this game is for you. You definitely get your moneys worth; I mean come on its only 20 dollars. So enjoy the game because I doubt they will make a sequel to it unfortunately.
