The Sims Bustin' Out

"Better than the first........."

The Sims Bustin' Out is a great game. I enjoyed it more than the original Sims. While it's great, it still has some things bad about it.

Graphics 9/10: I know the graphics don't make a game but I'll talk about them anyway's. The graphics are much better than the first. The characters are more detailed. The environments and details in the items are better too.

Gameplay 9/10: The controls are basically the same as the first. They might take a little while to get used too. It has been improved which is nice. Keeping track of your sim gets annoying sometimes which lowers the score.

Controls 9.5/10: Like I said before, the controls might take a little while to get used to. If you have played The Sims, then you might not need any time adjusting. It's not that hard to select anything but it might get annoying if you press the wrong button.

Bust Out 9/10:Bust Out mode is very fun. I was addicted to it when I played. If you don't know, it's sort of like Get A Life mode from The Sims. Anyway's, I enjoyed it a lot, plenty of challenges, BUT, the only thing that made me angry, loading times, 'nuff said.

What's good: Almost everything is good. The features are great. It has the same items as before with additions of new, and cool ones. It's always fun to build an incredible house that's huge with everything you can ever want in it!

What's Bad:Loading times!!!!! I'm not sure how long it takes on Gamecube or XBOX, but on the PS2, it loads for a long time. At least in Bust Out mode it did. But, you don't sit there and watch a little bar make its way to the end, you get to watch your sim drive, which is a little better, but gets boring after awhile. Slowdowns are another thing, this game has plenty. If you make the time go fast, you will get a slowdown. Sometimes they're short, sometimes long. I thought they would've improved on it from the original but I don't really mind. You'll get used to it after awhile. This is a bit of a hard game so if you don't like challenges, don't get it. Also, when you build a house in Free Play, it can, not always, get boring after building for long periods of time.

Rent or Buy??? Well, I'd have to say buy. I enjoyed this game a lot and think you will too. But if you're still a bit unsure, rent and see what you think.

Replay Value 9.5/10: This game has great replay value. I was addicted and loved to go back and build a great, fun house, or go play Bust Out mode again.
