Gitaroo Man
Review by Bountytissue
"Best summer EVER!!!!"
Gitaroo Man, the game that is probably rare to find. It would make sense if it is because this game comes by only one in a million. With the story that somehow made a boy with a guitar, an evil leader and space travel, this game pulled it off with excellence. Though short, this game is more challenge than you think. This baby has your needs with its modes. Vs mode keeps you company with the ability to make your second player a computer, or if you have an extensive family, 4 players going at each other. Now students, turn to page 20 to begin our lesson.
Story (10/10): Like I said a young boy with a guitar. But here is the reason why I put this into the 10 spot. U-1 is a young boy who isnt skilled at many things. With a girl named Pico running through his mind he tries desperately to skateboard. Summer begins and U-1 goes back home to continue with his life. Little does he know it, he is the legendary hero of a distant planet. With his talking dog Puma he goes out on a journey to get 8 instrumental weapons called ''Gitaroos.''
Sound (depends on how you play/10): The most important part of this game is the sound. The music is excellent but the reason why i didnt score this game is because you make the guitar sounds. It is up to you to play the music. But if you want me to rate the music if you are stage selecting then I hive it a 10. The winning, losing and so on voices sound as if you have a girlfriend talking sexually in your ear out loud, and for some reason about a man named Gitaroo Man. The people talking however sounds like you are in a room with your buds talking about some events that happened.
Graphics (10/10): Nice 3d graphics worth the playing. They made things seem so detailed. The machines seem so robotic with the buttons and lights. The clothes seems to fit the situations that go on in each stage. These people know how weird fashion looks and they pull it off nicely.
Controls (10/10): This is what I enjoyed most. The controls were so east, that my sister who just started playing learned how the game is played in a minute! But dont think the game would be a piece of cake. The stages balance things out excellently. This takes quite a while to pass but dont worry you will master this.
Replay value (10/10): You like what your are hearing right? Well get this, You arent finished with single play. Yes this game wants you to master each stage. The collection doesnt want to fill itself up so you have to try your best to not get a bad grade. There are alot of things that you have to collect and the versus mode has stages to unlock. Dont think that all of the stages are there once you rip off the plastic. The CG movies want you to work as well so have fun with what you have to do. I assure you once you are done, you will be jealous of your own skills.
Final thought: I am one of those lucky people to make it through the hard stages with a decent ranking. But to those who dont make it through I say to keep on trying. This game isnt impossible, but it also isnt easy to say it is possible. Lets see how you handle that analog and buttons. Its not speed that counts, its timing.
