The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2

"A must-have for any Metal Gear fan!!!!"

This game/documentary came out a little while on the Playstation 2 before Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance. It cost only $20 new at the store!!! How can you beat that with all the information that they give you. You'll learn about a ton of stuff!!!

GAME-PLAY: 8/10

Well, there really is no game-play since this is really a documentary, but there is five VR missions you can do, which is just a sneak-peek at what you'll be doing in Metal Gear Solid: Substance. There is A LOT of stuff to look at on this documentary. Everything from character models, to movies of New York City, to the different sketches they made. One of the great things on this was how you can watch the different cut scenes throughout the game and how you can pause it at anytime and zoom in or out. This has everything you need to know on how they made Metal Gear Solid 2.

SOUND: 10/10

Again, this is not a REAL game, but it does have a music option where you can listen to the different music schemes in the game, like how the music changes when you get spotted and the whole nine yards. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

GRAPHICS: 10/10

The graphics on the 5 VR missions are superb. They are crystal clear and you will be satisfied. The movies and documentaries are fluid and clear with no lag whatsoever. All of the models are also clear and surprisingly detailed-you'll be impressed to what this has to offer.

OVERALL: 9/10

This game has everything you can think of relating to Metal Gear Solid. If you are a fan, (you don't even have to be a die hard fan) you should definitely check this one out. To be honest, I was a little cautious on getting this game when it came out. I thought it was a gimmick by Konami to get more money, but man, I was WRONG. The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2 is packed FULL of goodies for you to sink your teeth into. This game probably would've been a 8/10, but since you get all of this stuff for such a low price, you can't beat that! This game is well worth getting!!!

BUY or RENT?

Definitely, without a doubt a buy. If you have played and enjoyed any of the Metal Gear Solid games then you should OWN this game. I mean it was only $20 new when it came out. You can probably get it much cheaper now on EBAY or something. It IS worth the money though.
