"What a waste..."

Kill.Switch

Introduction
I bought this game and was disappointed with it. The advertisement was what brought me in and I wanted to be one of the first to player it. It is downright terrible. The presentation with the graphics and sounds are extremely good, the game is just horrible.

Gameplay 5/10
You will enjoy the game play, but it's repetitive. Through the entire game, you are stuck to narrow hallways and dirt streets, repeating yourself: run from one place to another, hiding and shooting. That's it, no variety. It can't even be compared to other games that have the same price tag put are better in every way, shape and form. The manual gives you a good explanation of the weapons and controls; however, it will keep mentioning things that you have no idea about the meaning. The developers thought it would be fine if you they included a gimmick and said, "Well, you can run and cover. Let's use that one idea and mold it around an entire game." It was a terrible idea and it came out looking awful and feeling terrible in the long run. There is barely any strategic play as the game is pretty much based around one idea.

Graphics 7/10
The graphics get a little unclear at some points but for the most part, the graphics are stunning. The ground is textured and the buildings are tiled. It really does look like the scene your into. The cuts scenes are also excellent but are so short that you can't really admire them. The graphics, still, don't out weight the dreadful gameplay

Sound 7/10
The sound of the guns and grenades are top notch. It is probably the best part of the game. The only thing wrong is the music. While there are a few tracks, its basically one chores over and over again and does not sound like a real band or real instruments are playing. The game designers shouldn't of focused so much on graphics and sounds and put more effort into making the game fun.

Controls 7/10
There is a small learning curve whenever you start playing the game. Its takes a few minutes though to get use to the controls. Once you know the controls, though, it makes the game play smoother. There's a lot of ducking and running for cover because that is ALL the game is.

Replayability 1/10
There is no real replayability value to this game. It takes only 2 hours to beat, no multiplayer, no variety of play, and only two difficulty levels. You can replay the game again, but you'll probably not want to as everything will be exact same thing and still boring.

Story 6/10
The story is complicated and is probably the only reason why you would want to replay the game. It is revealed through many bits and pieces. It is probably not your modern day game story. Other games accomplish a better story with better gameplay. Although this game has an interesting story line, don't think twice about renting just to find out the story.

Value 2/10
This game was not worth $50. Sure, the game play is smooth, but you won't get your moneys worth. Try finding it for $15. It will be worth it around that range. Whatever you do, don't but this game for anything above $20 dollars because you will just be throwing your money out the window when you could of spent it on some other title, like Call of Duty or Battlefield 1942.

Rent or Buy? Recommended?
Rent the game. It is pointless to spend that much money on it and only last so very little while. You can beat the game easily during one day and if your good, in two hours. As I mentioned, its probably great for a low cost or a quick rental if there aren't any other games available. Bottom line is: DON'T BUY THIS GAME. If you receive it ahs a gift, play it, and exchange it for anything that is halfway decent. Don't rent the game if there is another game like Nightfire or Tony Hawk: Underground. I have recommended a lot of games over this game, and for good reason: the other games are just better. Other games I recommend over this one are James Bond: Everything or Nothing and Grand Theft Auto Vice City or Grand Theft Auto: III

Strong Points
- Graphics and sounds are great.
- Controls are standard and aren't hard to understand.
- The story line is very interesting but will leave you confuse.

Weak Points
- Short Single Player.
- Repetitive Multiplayer.
- No multi-player.

Overall 4/10< /b>
