Transformers

"Transformers- Transform and Roll out!"

I am a Transformer fan, and that was the reason I picked up this title. But this game is "More than Meets the Eye." No I am not rating this as a Transformers fan but as a Gamer.

Graphics 9/10
Well some of the best PS2 has seen. The Cutscenes are great. They are Detailed and well shown. And for actual gameplay graphics Atari did a good job too. But like most games the Cutscenes look better. Atari also stay true to the transformations and other stuff about the Transformers' looks.

Sound 9/10
Well all you really here is cans shooting, your health bar blinking from low health and barely any of the background music. The blaster sound good and so does raming Decepticlones into the wall! Atari gave each of the boss battles there own theme, and gave the levels two different themes. One of the levels themes is calm for when no enemies around, and another for intense battles, as more enemies come the more intense the music. And a plus for adding the Traditional transformation sound!

Characters 6/10
They are the cast from the Armada series. There are only a few actual characters from that series anyways. Only three Autobots, in the whole game! Optimus Prime(Commander/Semi Truck) leads HotShot(Rookie/Sports Car), and Redalert(Second in Command/Emergacy SUV) to Earth after the Decepticons, and the Decepticlones take over Cybertron and get a Minicon Sinal. The Decepticons are Megatron(Commander/Tank), Starscream(Jet Fighter), and Cyclonus(Hellicopter), and then they got the Decepticlones wich are the same bot cloned many times. The Decepticlones have varries of classes, Small, Heavy Units and have speacil types like Spiders. Unicron(Planet and Planet Eater) comes in at the end, and he trys to blow up Cybertron instid of eating it! And the Minicons are the sadest thing. They're only five different minicons only colored different.

Gamplay 9/10
The gamplay is very hard! Even on the easiest modes the game can get very challenging! The controls are based on the L and R buttons. L and R have control over your Minicons, and Blaster(later attaches to a Minicon for extra powers!) Then the regular buttons aren't use much. Well Triangle is Transform your bot, and X links you to the only Minicon sightable and make a superlink(Makes the game into a matrix remake.) The game is a Third Person Shooter, but can go into a form of a First but you have to go back to third to move around. The three character have different stats(Speed, defense, and etc..) But Prime is the only one who feels balance and can hold the most Minicons.

Overall 8/10
This game is good for Transformers fans or someone who like hard games and Third Person shooters. And this game has alot of extras. If you want a nice longish type of game check this title out! And so far the best Transformers Game so far.
