"One of the best RTSs on PS2"

Greetings, and welcome to my review of Army Men: RTS. To start off, i say that this game is GREAT! What? A good Army Men game? Believe it or not, this os one of the best RTS for the PS2 at the moment. Y ou control Sarge and the rest of Bravo Company, and you duke it out with the Tans in three game modes, Campaign, Great Battles, and Special Ops. Campaign is, you guessed it, the story mode. Great Battles are straight forward battles against the Tan. Specials Ops are regular missions with twists.

Graphics: 8/10

Environments are clear and crisp. Each vehicle is different from the others, but the infantry are all very similar (i.e. the Grunts look like Bazooka Men)

Sound: 8/10

Every vehicle and structure makes a unique sound when chosen and asked to perform a task. All of the infantry, however, sound EXACTLY the same (Except for members of the Bravo Company). The BGM is good and doesn't distract you like some other RTSs.

Story: 7/10

An interesting story, but nothing to brag about. The house area was once under Green Army control, under the command of one Colonel Blintz. Then one day he sustained a "Massively disconfiguring head wound." Half of his head got blown away. A couple days later, Green Army recon finds Blintz, but he has gone Tan! Oh no! Your job is to push back the Tan and terminate Blintz. But here's what really shines; gameplay.

Gameplay: 10/10

This game is so simple, it should be used as a teaching aid in kindergarten. Its got like 5 major buttons that you need to know; build menu (R1), Melt building (L2), select unit(s) (Circle), Add/Remove unit from group (Square), and Select (X). The action is always fun, especially in Great Battle mode, and the gameplay is never boring. Always fast = always fun.

Overall: 10/10

This game is really great. I recommend it to every fan of RTSs out there, and the people who are looking to get into RTSs. This game is simple, fast, and it's Army Men. What's more fun than playing with plastic green men in the backyard and in the basement? Nothing. And with that last statement, I bid you farewell.
