"Truly a great game"

Def Jam Fight for New York is easily one of the absolute best games I have ever played before for Play Station 2. The roster in the game is awesome and everything is pretty superb.

Graphics 10/10 - The graphics in this game are simply amazing. From the structure of the faces on the character models to the necklaces that the characters wear, the graphics are unbelievable. The necklaces move and don't just stay in one place like most gamers would think and even the hair looks good in the game. Graphics easily get a 10/10 from me.

Sound 10/10 - From the sounds of the punches and kicks to the sounds of the crowd cheering, the sound in this game is unbelievable as well. If you break a beer bottle over your opponent's head it really does sound like glass breaking which adds to realism. The sound department in this game is definitely superb and again this easily gets a rating of 10/10 from me.

Game-play 10/10 - The game-play in this game is very easy to understand and get adjusted to. If you ever played the game Def Jam Vendetta for Play Station 2, the controls in this game are basically the same with a few tweaks here and there. Like instead of holding the button X for a strong grapple you must hold the L1 button and then press X to perform a strong grapple. Strong grapples are not so easy to do so be careful. 10/10 for the game-play in Def Jam Fight For New York.

Replay value 10/10 - This game has absolutely tons of replay value. You'll come back to your Play Station 2 a whole lot when you have Def Jam Fight for New York. This really and truly is an absolutely great game with tons of replay value. 10/10 for the replay value of this game.

Buy or Rent BUY - Don't waste your money renting this game. Renting this game would actually in my opinion be a pretty foolish thing to do. Buying this game would be a much smarter move and you'll be glad you did it because this game really is that much fun.
