"Great game even for those who dont like Star Wars"

This is a game I have waited for, for a long time. The idea of battling so many people and playing with all the technology on the Star Wars universe is every players dream. While this game certainly does not disappoint it isn't the everyday first person shooter...

Graphics 7/10
Overall this was my biggest weakness for the game. Yeah it looks great if you like Star Wars but for most people a lot of the game is indistinguishable. With so much going on it is tough to keep up with where are your allies and where are your enemies. Radar helps but just isn't enough for the huge battles. Perhaps icons above all characters would have worked better instead of just the target is red or green. (Really in this game if you wait to shoot until you figure out whether its red or green you'll be dead pretty quick) The other problem is on the PS2 the game even offline can lag a bit. The problem isn't that big but is still enough to be bothersome especially when your in a tight battle.

Game Play 9/10
This game play is good but not quite what you would expect. If you want a good Star Wars First Person Shooter, then this may not be your style. Basically its you and at least 16 other AI or humans running around with a variety of weapons and vehicles. The maps are large but not big enough to stop the eight on eight mini wars from occurring. Personally I think this new style of game play is a great and innovative type of first person shooter (its been done before but not this good) Overall not much I can find wrong with it except for one small detail. Lack of game modes. The capture the flag command post style is great but just a little more variety in the battles may have been better. Still the game play definitely fits the game quite well.

Sounds 10/10
Its a Star Wars game if you like Star Wars sounds its smooth realistic and at some points amazing.

Replay Value 10/10
On line play and this game=infinite replay value. Even if you don't have broadband or just don't want to face the perils of on line play the replay value is still great. No battle is ever the same and the AI is pretty smart. Even the best of players can't take a 3 or 4 on 1 assault and the maps/vehicles/weapons/unit variety mean you could master so many unique strategies it would take a great deal of time to find them all.

Controls 8/10
Not too much to complain about seeing as how you can change the controls any way you want to in the menu. PS2 controller may make thins difficult at times but overall it can be gotten used to with time.

Difficulty:Medium
At times can get quite difficult but for the most part is easy to catch on to and most missions shouldn't take more then 5 tries even for a beginner to first person shooter games.

Overall 8/10
Overall this is a great game and to a Star Wars fan this is an 11/10 you just couldn't ask for much more with todays technology. If your still worry about the game play just rent it (you will get quite a ways through it in the rent time) but odds are you will be hooked.
