Mega Man X: Command Mission
Review by Lightning Fury
"An average rpg"
This is my first review, so I thought I'd do it on this game since Mega Man is one of my favorites among video games. This is X's first journey into the RPG world, and it's not a bad start. I hope this helps you if you want to buy it.
Graphics: 8
This is the same cel-shaded style from MMX7. Nothing new here, except that everything is more detailed to an extent.
Story: 6
The story is mediocre at best. X and friends form a resistance group to thwart the Rebellion army from using Supra Force Metal, a rare and powerful kind of force metal. There is a major plot twist, but you'll figure it out before you get to the end. This is a pretty linear story with very few side quests(some of which you can't do until you beat the game).
Gameplay: 8.5
This is where the game really shines. There is a number of things that you can do in battle, ranging from hyper modes, final strikes, and action triggers. This could have been better had the enemy AI been harder. The sad thing is that this game is relatively easy(even the final boss is easy once you figure out the strategy). The game is made too easy when you find certain items(for example, Zero's second hyper mode, Absolute Zero) The difficulty level in the game is so easy that things such as leveling up and acquiring/making force metals are not mandatory.
Sound: 7.5
The music for the game was good, but the voice-acting for the characters needs improvements. Some characters(like Spider)sound pretty good while others(like Massimo)sound pathetic.
Value: 4
When you are finished with the game, there's really not much reason to play it again. Plus the only extra that this game has is the playable demo of MMX8, but that demo has glitches in it.
Overall- roughly a 7
This is, all in all, a decent rpg. X fans will love it, but rpg fanatics will want something more. I recommend that you play through it at least once. Enjoy!!!
