"They just keep getting better"

The first thing that I would like to mention are the things that make THUG 2 (Tony Hawk's Underground 2) different from the rest of the Tony Hawk games. First, backflips/frontflips. These things are awsome. Never before has the player been able to do a complete flip in the air. They are a great way to increase the point value of your combos.

The second thing is the humor. Some of the things do get kind of out of control, but for the most part, this game is a lot funnier than the other games in the series.

Third is the way that you can throw stuff at people. This is a neat idea for this game. I especialy like it in Skateopia when you get to throw the smoke bombs at people.

I saved the best thing for last, focus mode. By simply pressing the L3 button, the player can go into a slow motion mode. This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen added to a skateboard game. This reminds me of the spidey reflexes in Spider-man 2.

Graphics: 9/10

Though the graphics are great, I think there is still room for a little improvement. They didn't really improve from the graphics in THUG 1. When Sony comes out with the PS3, things should look a lot nicer.

Sound: 10/10

There is nothing wrong with the sound. The music is good, and there are no glitches when the people talk, what else is there to say.

Control: 10/10

The characters move very smooth in this game. Plus in the create-a-park mode, the control isn't as glitchey as it was in THUG 1.

Storyline: 7/10

I don't think the story is as good as in THUG 1. Because in there you go from a nobody to a profesionaly skater with your own brand of clothes and shoes. In this game, for some reason, Tony Hawk and Bam Magera take it upon themselves to kidnap you then cause havoc throught the world. Why?

Overall I think this is a game to buy. Even if you aren't a huge fan of skate boarding games, I would still say rent the game for a few days.
