"Do Right and Fear Not!"

Ace Lightning is an awesome game created by BBC Multimedia. Following the story of the television programme, you must guide Ace Lightning through the eerie attractions of the Carnival of Doom, searching for the pieces of the the magical Amulet of Zoar.
But the carnival is populated by millions of freaky villains, lead by Lord Fear, and evil skeleton man who hides out in the Haunted House. Other main villains include Staff Head (Lord Fear's bat like staff), Lady Illusion (A mysterious woman who can change her form), Anvil and Pigface (A rhino headed monster and a pig headed monster, both are dumb), Dirty Rat (Fear's flying spy), Googler (A maniacal jester) and Random Virus (A twisted cyborg who is Ace Lightning's friend!).

With a lot of different items for Ace Lightning to use, this Lightning Knight can thrash down Lord Fear's forces and collect those amulet fragments. Items include the Lightning Lance and the Shield of Justice.

Journey across the circus, the fun house world, the cowboy crossroads and the medieval castle world to eventually wind up in the Haunted House, where you'll face off against Lord Fear and his minions in one final battle.

But Fear is not going to give Ace a easy time...for he has placed many minions across the carnival, waiting to have a go at smashing Ace. Fear's lowlife crew include crazy custard-pie tossing clowns, wandering cowboy zombies, exploding cactus men, pig-riding yokels, monster wardrobes, giant spiders, a giant cowboy called Giant George, evil ferrets and demon ducklings. Lord Fear's got them all!

Even though the characters have The Sims face look, they are still have good designs. The most interesting thing of the game, is that the story events are in comic strips, which is entertaining, and also give a hint of what you can expect during the upcoming level.

Ace Lightning is avaliable on PC and Gameboy Advance too, but PS2 has the best version I think. Ace Lightning is quite fun and challenging and suitable for most ages.
