James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing
Review by unknownvirus
"A delightful departure, bad through control and level issues"
Anticipation: I was expecting a mishmashed clammy third-person bore fest, I got a little more but alot less. Because third person games are just so cheap these days.
Graphics: The graphics in this game are sub-par and come oh so short of the usual first-person eye candy I expect from the other bond games. Although this game seems to have the same moddeling as Goldeneye the texturing and bullets pick it back up. Looking through your scope and viewing the character models was fun, because the character models are really great! Including Bond himself! The animation was also silky smooth and extremely impressive for a bond game, the way teh characters walk is also very impressive, whether it is from punching to shooting it all runs decent at a solid FPS. The camera was also very well done for a third person game, especially when you use your grapple hook and jump off a cliff; the camera pans perfectly behind your character and makes you feel like you are in an actual ond movie. The lighting though, is poor, uninspiring, sad, and mishapen so heed my warning!
Overall: Awful job on the enviroments (lighting modelling), but there were some key graphical elements (texturing, incredible animation).
7/10
Gameplay: This part has it's highs and lows, the game is presented beautifully with some slick menus animating some black shaded women rolling around and pointing her gun.
The game's shooting aspect is basically the entire game so I will judge it closely. This game has a huge variety of guns ranging for a silenced P99 to an RPG and everything between; this aspect I loved for you could collect all the weapons and use them for your game style. For instance you can get the shotgun and be an insane hick assasin, or you can get the machine gun and run through every mission run and gun, or you can use the silenced pistol and romp through each level clear away from the eyes of an unweary guard and go all sam fishcher. This feature amazed me and worked perfectly throughout the entire adventure, it also appeals to every type of gamer in the genre. This game does not use manual targeting (except sniper rifle) but the targetting system is extremely sluggish and I really hated it, I was disgraced by the sluggishness of the targetting that I pretty much stopped playing the game altogether. You also have the ability to duck in this game if you duck under an object and lock onto an enemy, every time you shoot your character stands up and blasts the enemy, when you are done shooting your character gets back behind the solid object; this feature has been introduced before but the developers pulled it off very cleanly! The fighting aspect is very impressive (surprisingly) I was blown away how you can fight off three enemies at the same time by pointing at them with the control stick, it works just like Prince of Persia. I also really liked the aspect of when you kill an enemy around a certain trigger your character throws him off the ledge or slams him into the wall, it is very innovative and lets n00bs pull of outrageously cool stunts! But down to the worst aspect, level design. It is simply awful! I was terribly mad when I ran into constant dark dead ends without seeing where I was going, luckily I had an objective compass which helped a little. Most of the part this game has awful level design and it really bothered me.
Overall: The games gunning and punching aspects really stuck out, to bag it was drug down by the pitiful targeting system and level design.

Sound: Voice acting is top-notch and really delivered, the musical scores are classic Bond masterpieces, and the SFX are superb. nice job here!
Overall: Nice.
10/10
Story: The classic "bad guy is taking over the world so Bond just says 'meh i'll kick ya butt anyways' and Bond wins" Yawn.
Overall: ^See^
4/10
Replayability: The replay value is sufficient, ever since co-op mode was introduced into shooters I was hooked and I loved it! There is a completely different co-op story mode which wasn't appealing but it was still very fun! The multiplayer fragfests were appealing and added more to the game.
Overall: Nice.
8/10
Overall: Great game just to pick up and play then just put down; it wont keep you coming back for more but it is fun to experience the Bond world yet again!
