"An SRPG worthy of respect."

I can honestly say that I love Strategy RPG's. Played FF tactics and loved it. Played Arc the Lad Twighlight of Spirits and liked it. Played FF tactics advanced and thought that it was alright but could have been better. Played Fire Emblem and liked it and well..... the list goes on.

Growlanser Two and Three doesn't try to pull anything too fancy but it's simple gaming mechanics have been put to use in such a way that you can't help but enjoy your experience.

Story: 8/10

The story isn't all that deep but atleast it doesn't feel like it drags the game down.

Graphics: 7/10

The graphics would have been outstanding if this game happened to be for the PS one. However the years have gone by and now there is a demand for something a bit better then what the game gives you. The graphics aren't horrible but they could have been better.

Controls: 9/10

I have no real problems with the controls. Menu scrolling is a bit cumbersome but otherwise, it's flawless.

Gameplay: 10/10

This is where the game truly shines. The game manage's to challenge you and still remain fun. A task that not all game developers can accomplish. The ring weapons and gems make it so that you can customize your characters. There are charge times when casting magic as was with Final Fantasy Tactics. Plus you can import characters you raised in Growlanser 2, into Growlanser 3 which is awesome.

Overall nice and nothing too fancy which is fine.

Voice Acting: 4/10

Ugh..... find a better cast (fast!) especially in GL 2. Voice acting was beyond aweful. Good thing it gets better in the later parts of the story.

Overall: 9/10

The game does a good job overall. Infact if you ignore the voice acting, it could have gotten a 10 simply for being a good SRPG. For SRPG fans, this game is a must buy.
