BATTLE ASSAULT 3: FEATURING GUNDAM SEED
Battle Assault 3: Featuring Gundam Seed, its official name but from now on will be called BA3, is one HELL of a game. Its more aimed to the Mech fighting fan, more specifically the Gundam fans. If you follow the Battle Assualt series you would know that it often feature gundams and suits from all the series combined into one fighting game, not this time. BA3 focuses on Gundam Seed (the new series on CN) but that doesn't mean some other suits wont show up. Overall this game will only really only satisfy mech gamers.
GAMEPLAY:
I will admit I was a bit afraid at first, the first two BA games were NOT anything to brag about, good games, but nothing amazing. But this game is one kick upwards. BA3 featuers a pretty basic concept. You are in arenas where you fight other zoids in a Power Stone / Soul Calibur way. There are around 33 Mechs that are all pretty different, only a few function in the same way, and they all have good point and bad points. So far no real suit is UBER powerful then others. This game takes ALOT of skill in the Story Mode, it gets really hard. The controls are very percise and if you lose, its not the computer cheating, you just suck. So far I have noted NO cheap moves, no moves you can't do but the computer can. The computer is just really smart and the AI suits that work together (yes in some matches it will be 3 on 1) will work together to cream you. It takes a bit to get use to but even then its still hard. The game has around 18 or so levels all with different paths. Overall though, its pretty perfect.
GAMEPLAY SCORE - 9/10

GRAPHICS:
This game has REALLY good graphics, not like Halo 2 but for what it offers, its nice to look at. The effects, the movements, everything is pretty good.
GRAPHICS SCORE - 8/10

SOUNDS:
Hmm... The sounds for BA3 are... well okay. The sound effects them selves kick ass, the voices are amazingly good, but I don't know how accurate to the show itself. Everything is perfect but the music. It's not bad but nothing catchy. Some games like Zelda leave you with themes that are still in your head, I don't really remember ANYTHING from this game.
SOUNDS SCORE - 7/10

STORY:
The story is actually pretty good, its pretty close to the show and it keeps you entertained between the bashing of computers. Overall nice but they could have used some video clips or other stuff to keep it more fresh.
STORY SCORE - 7/10

PLAY TIME:
I'm still playing it... heh... The suits are HARD to unlock, so far I only have around 10-12, god knows how I unlock the other ones. I have yet to beat the final level as the last level is really hard, argh, stupid outnumbering. But its got lots of suits to unlock, a few cool modes like Co-Op, Time Trial and Survival.
PLAY TIME SCORE - 9/10

FINAL THOUGHTS
Finally a gundam game that doesn't suck donkey! Heh, its nice to have a fun, cool, fresh game in the series with pretty graphics that doesn't just look nice it plays nice to. I love the game, if only it was online! Thats the only complaint.
FINAL SCORE - 9/10
