TimeSplitters: Future Perfect
Review by GaMeFr33k
"This Game Should NOT Be Overlooked!"
There are a lot of people out there that pass up this game because they think it's cheesy, or copies al of the other PS2 shooters out there. They are wrong, this game is fresh and feels/plays great, and definitely is one of the best shooters on the PS2 to date!
GRAPHICS: 9.0/10
All of the cut-scenes in this game (there are tons) are all smooth and beautiful looking. Going into different levels (environments), there are always fresh looking new things and landscape to enjoy. The in-game models look just as good, just aobut everything here is taking the PS2 to it's limit in graphical goodness.
SOUND: 8.8/10
The sound in the game is overall great, but the voice acting truly shines here. The background music can get a little boring sometimes like in online battles when you play the same map or so on.
GAMEPLAY: 10/10
The best part about the game! Truly great gameplay here. The weapons and controls are great and feel perfect when you just buy the game until you've played it 100% (which will take a really long time). The game feels great, even when you drive vehicles the steering is perfect.
REPLAY VALUE: 10/10
Ok, so theres a 'Story Mode' which you play through the main game and travel to different places unraveling a great storyline. Theres an 'Arcade' mode which lets you set up custom matches and your own settings, a league mode where you fight bots to become the champion. Then theres 'Challenge Mode' where theres TONS and TONS of great mini-game like challenges where you get awards, trophies, and unlock new characters. By the way, there are over a hundred characters to choose from. Then there a 'Mapmaker' where you create, play, and even trade maps with other people online. So theres DEFINITELY great replay value here, and theres even co-op with 2-4 players on sinlge player mode.
FUN FACTOR: 9.5/10
This game is really fun, even after you beat single player. Online is fun too, with voice communication and other stuff, but don't forget you have Challenge mode and arcade mode, a map maker, and tons of other cool stuff. This game is intense and makes you want to play it until the very end.
OVERALL: 9.5/10
