BloodRayne 2

"A Game That Truly Deserves the M Rating"
This game really just sort of came out of nowhere. I understand it's a sequel but, this game was just a pleasant surprise of a game. This game truly deserves the M rating, this game is just filled with a large amount of sensuality and violence.
Story: (8/10)
The story in BloodRayne 2 seems (in my opinion) to be reminiscent of the story from Vampire Hunter D. You play as Rayne a half vampire half human woman (called Dhampirs). She's on a mission to kill her father, and any vampire or goon that gets in her way. The story is pretty good and is told quite well.
Graphics: (9/10)
There's no denying the fact that Rayne is hot. She's sexy, and the developers know this so for the first couple of levels they gave her a dress that shows that point to no end. The character models in the game look really good, but where this game really succeeds graphically is the amount of violence there is in the game. Especially when you start feeding on someone. If you're feeding on a person you have the chance to murder the person you're feeding on. Press a certain button and Rayne will impale them on her sword arm things and the blood will just fly out of him covering the floor with it. And the environments in the game are pretty good looking, but they won't stay that magnificent white shiny color for long. Because every enemy in this game is overstuffed with blood. When you're hacking off limbs blood will just fly everywhere. And the great thing is if your enemy is standing when you cut off their leg they try to run away. This is quite possibly the most violent game since Nightmare Creatures 2, and Shadow of Rome.
Sound: (9/10)
The sound in BloodRayne 2 is really good. The voice acting in the game is really well done and sounds good. The music in BloodRayne 2 is just as good it's a sort of techno music that's really pretty fitting with this game. When you cut enemies apart in this game Rayne will make all sorts of sarcastic comments whilst the poor sap is on the ground screaming.
Gameplay: (9/10)
The action in this game is just fast and fluid. It's really easy to beat up these guys. The gameplay is really reminiscent of a game like Devil May Cry. I like the fact that when you feed on someone you can hit the square or circle button and just eviscerate your enemy. And the action is really evenly paced, it never becomes to easy or difficult to cut a bloody swathe through your enemies. There's just quite a variety of moves in this game. It has some elements in the game that were from Prince of Persia, but those are really well done and it's simple to jump from pipe to pipe. Unfortunately all the hacking and slashing may get repetitive after a while, but this doesn't really happen until much later in the game. It's also really surprising at how accessible this game is. It's not a problem to just put this game in your PS2 and start hacking away at enemies.
So if you like really violent games with buckets of blood that also has some major sexuality in it you'll definitely like BloodRayne 2. But if you're a gamer that's squeamish you definitely should not play this game. This is one of the few games out there that I feel is truly deserving of it's M rating. If you're a fan of vampire movies like Vampire Hunter D or Blade you'll definitely like this game. This game is also good for people that like a Devil May Cry or Rygar style of game.
