EyeToy: AntiGrav
Review by ooniqueguy
"Eyetoy at its best"
I personally think this is the best eyetoy game that is out currently... however that doesn't say much and hard ratings let people know what they are getting into.
Graphics:7
The scenery is amazing to look at but when your falling there are a lot of things that look like you can land on them to your surprize however you fall to your utter doom also some of the larger characters can abstuct your view of the course ahead, but that might be a design flaw not graphics.
Sound: 9
Good tunes in the background nothing really major because your so immersed in the game trying to focus on the high impact course.
Gameplay 9
Aside from the occasional glitch in the face lock this game really shines. You are the controller unless you get behind a friend and controll him/her then they are the controller but 9/10 times that doesn't happen. Most of the time your movements really are reflected in the character, jumping can be a bit difficult to time but nothing too major.
Hardware/player integration: 5
I have nothing against the eye toy, i want it to work, id love to see a boxing game on it. BUT being that a lot of gaming can keep players up all night, this kindof has some major restrictions being that in a dimmer light your shoulder could become your head, not the best thing in the world. Also there is a high learning curve. Supposedly you are supposed to attain mastery in a level or two. Normally that doesn't happen so the game can get kindof repetitive.
Other:10
The work out can be amazing. In a world of obese america you really have a gem here with the idea that you have to really and i mean really work to make this game work for you. You will sweat, no ifs ands or buts on that one.
Overall : 8
Hopefully they will continue to maintain the ideas and fix some of the problems in any sortof sequal or advancement of the game. This game is a stepping stone and really says something about the potential for the eye toy.
