Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition

Review by AESokehs

"Just keeps getting better! Near perfect sequel!"

Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition is the sequel to Midnight Club and Midnight Club 2 and it's better than both of them. I have played all 3 and must say this one has the best graphics, customization, levels, everything! It's got the whole package.

The graphics in this game are excellent. As your car gains speed the camera will shake and lights blur as if you were truly cruising down the streets. The cars, the car parts, and the levels all look fantastic too. The damage is even realistic. If you crash the front of your car it will just have a few marks in the front and will get worse as you damage it. It isn't you slamming into a wall and then suddenly your whole car is scratched or dented. Overall the graphics are awesome and they definitely took time to work on them.

Midnight Club 3 has a great soundtrack. I was surprised to hear the new songs they also like "How We Do" by The Game and 50 Cent, and Overnight Celebrity by Twista and Kanye West. They aren't that new but they are current within the last year. They are many great songs to get you into a racing mood and if you like a certain genre than you can toggle the audio so that you can have just Hip-Hop playing or Techno or Rock. Your choice to what you want to listen to.

Gameplay in Midnight Club 3 is awesome. They kept most of the same controls and same features when driving. You still have turbo as R2 and L1 still tilts your car so you won't have to spend anytime adjusting from Midnight Club 2 to Midnight Club 3. There is still Cruise mode so you can select a car, adjust your weather and whether or not you want traffic or peds and then go on your way to one of the three cities to drive around and have fun. The Career Mode is very in-depth and it will take you awhile to get through but that is nice because then it's not a few races and then career is over and you everything and every part. Multiplayer is also fun. I haven't tried out online but I've heard it's good but split screen multiplayer modes are fun. Capture the Flag, Tag there are so many fun things to do.

Customization in this game is also what makes Midnight Club 3 so much better than the 2nd. There are so many cars to choose from and then you can customize them that its almost impossible to have the same car as anybody else. There is so many things you can customize it is crazy. You will have fun going through all the options to make your ride perfect.

The replay value of this game is good. I would give it a 9/10. I played the game for 5 days and when I was done renting it, I went out and bought a copy. I've been playing for a week now and I have been playing non-stop. (Except for now) This game is a must-have if you liked the other Midnight Club's or are looking for a street racing game. If you are unsure of spending $50 then rent it first but you should definitely try out this game.
