"The title is clouding your judgment young one."

Lego Star Wars in an action adventure games that follows through from episode 1-3. Now the name 'Lego Star Wars' sounds like a babyish spin off. When really it is a cleverly thought out plot from start to finish.

GRAPHICS: 8/10
As you can guess by the title everything is made out of Lego. From the Obi wans hands to the vehicles and environments. The graphics are not half as good as the outstanding cut scenes from Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 3 but they do their job well rest assured, however, there are minor bugs that remain. There are plenty of touches that make the graphics some what class. Like when you destroy and enemy he/she crumples down into little Lego bricks... Sweet.

SOUND 9/10
Its Star Wars. Nuff said? Really though, the sound in this game is almost second to none. Featuring all of the familiar songs which are in the Star Wars Universe. Not only that but when you are using a gun and shooting you have the same 'pew, pew' noise from the films. The original music is everywhere- from the Menu to the exciting battle with Darth Mule. This game deliverers the music, and deliverers it well. Voice acting would of been nice though...

STORY 6/10
As mentioned above you can play Ep 1,2 and 3. From start to finish. The game does contain spoilers from ep 3. So be sure to of seen the movie before buying this game. The story is very short and can be completed within a couple of hours...

GAMEPLAY 7/10
The controls are nice and simple. However maybe they are too simple. The light saber battling is very limited. with having only one button to attack (square) and one to defend. The game is let down by this. Combos are just three or four hits laid down and the lock on system isn't the best around. So when fighting greivous (who has four sabres) theres only one thing to do... Mash the square button! Seriously though this game could have been amazing in this department if only it could have used all of the spare buttons to use as another type of attack. If you are a hardcore lightsabre fan. Try Star Wars: ep 3 that may interest you more. Besides from that the gameplay is clever.

MULTIPLAYER (level select) 6/10
Yeah i don't like it much. It would have been something special if only it had a little bit more depth (Im talking about the lightsabring here). Its surprising as you can play as many 'useless' characters that include chancellor palpatine and padme. This isn't really a bonus because they are just both plain boring and have no real attacks. Online? Nah. The game isn't online. And with the lack of battle options it wouldn't have made it very interesting anyway.

MULTIPLAYER STORY 8/10 This is enjoyable. You can switch characters and the game doesn't have a futile version from the single player mode. Allot of double teaming is required and you need to work together. I found this more enjoyable then the single player story, actually.

REPLAYABILITY 3/10
Once completed its really boring. Honestly thats all I can say.

FINAL SUMMARY 7/10
The game is much better then expected and could have been something special with a couple of things changed. It will appeal to the younger most definitely, but for the older hardcore gamers who expect the best. I think its a no no.
