"Digital Security Guards, helping the future!"

Gameplay - 6/10
---------------------------------

The game provides an environment similar to that of Gauntlet Legends, where you either choose to fly solo or either team up with friends and battle your way through the area and complete the dungeon. You start off by selecting between one of the four main digimon, all from different seasons from the show. Such as Agumon. Veemon, Guilmon and Dorumon. The gameplay though, isn't that hard to adapt to, before your first mission your taught the basics, and surprisingly there isnt much moves you can accomplish besides magic power attacks (MP attacks), a spinning attack, jumping, moving and the all-normal, normal attack! Some of the older players might find the gameplay rather weak, but can be improved.

Story - 8/10
------------------------------

You start off your story as a newly joined DSG Member (Digital Security Guard) in the home server. You bring peace and harmony to all servers, but recently, there's been a malfunction on a fellow server called 'Yamato Server' where, somewhat, dissapeared, only to be seen by a new unknown server, called... the 'Doom' Server. Your first mission, and your job, is to track down a lost general and his comrades, General Leomon. Your goal is to find out what has caused digimon to turn wild and attack the Home Server, and get behind the mystery of the existance of the Doom Server and the sudden disappearance behind the Yamato Server. Are they all connected?

Note: I believe this game is also based on an upcoming Digimon Movie that is coming out in America, named Digimon X Evolution.

Sound - 5/10
-------------------------------

The battle and background music that comes with this game are just superb, it's heart warming and gives a feelign to the battle scene. Only downside that brought the score to 5 is that there is no voice acting.

Replay Value - 9/10
-------------------------------------

The game, somehow between short and average lengthed, makes it worthwhile to play over and over again. As each time you play the game, not only does the difficulty rise, but you unlock more digivolutions for your digimon! Not to mention that everything is carried on from your first game to the next game! This is also a great way to help out a friend who's just stuck on those few levels and needs a kick start, as you change the difficulty of the level, between Normal (which is the starting mode for all players), Hard (which is attained after completing Normal mode), and Super Hard (which is attained after completing Hard Mode) .

Multiplayer Value - 8/10
-----------------------------------------

The multiplayer in this game is exceptionally good, as you can team up with your fellow mates and help each other battle against the minions of the Doom Server! For the playstation 2 though, the rating went down from an 9 because there is no special vs. mode where you can battle friends digimon. But then again that's for another game I guess. The multipalyer allows friends to help you out at a place you might get stuck in, or might just tag along and gain experience from battles. Note that the more player's that join, the more enemies will come! So get in there and be ready to destroy!

OVERALL RATING - 7.5/10
----------------------------------------------

Digimon World 4 will either please you or disgust you. It usually matters on personal taste, anime lovers of the Digimon series might be a little disappointed with the fact that it dosent follow previosu digimon basics, like no destined partners or such. But for previous digimon gamers, who've played through the first digimon to this one, might find this game a bit different from the other games, providing a different yet astonishing mixture of RPG and Action.
