"The Sims not really at its finest"

The Sims Bustin' Out is the sequel to The Sims for the Play Station 2, Game Cube, and I think it also came out to the Xbox. I am a fan of most of The Sims games but this one was just boring. The Sims for the PS2 was fun and great but for some reason my PS2 won't play it anymore. Oh well....

Graphics:
The Graphics in The Sims Bustin' Out are pretty good and probably one of the best things about it. They are not perfect but they do look better then some other games on the PS2. But one thing that was really annoying about The Sims Bustin' Out's graphics is that everything was way too shiny. Even if you look at the characters in the game on a certain kind of angle, they look weird and shiny. But graphics are not everything in this game. There are still a few other good things about this game.

Gameplay:
Now The Sims Bustin' Out is a Simulation game (notice the word Sim in the title) of life. What you do in the game is up to you. You can live your life, get a job, eat food, watch some T.V, go to bed, use the bathroom and a lot more. All of this is fun but not on console.

One of fun things that you can do in The Sims Bustin' Out is doing different things to your Sim. Like killing them. Oh the many a ways that you can kill your Sim. You can put them in a room with a fire pit and burn them. Or you can starve them to death by putting them into a room with no way out. Or you can make them fix a broken computer or T.V and watch them get electrocuted. But The Sims Bustin' Out is not just about watching your Sim suffer and die; it is also about living life.

A bad thing about this game is the controls. You use the L3 to look around and you use R3 to change the camera angle left and right. To select an object you have to move all the way over to it with the L3 stick and then click X. I'm not sure about you but I like the computer version of The Sims where you just click on it better.

This game is not too hard to play. Sometimes it can be a little easy and sometimes it can be a little hard. You have to keep an eye on your Sims mood bar things so that they do not go to low. They include Hunger, Hygiene, Bladder, Social, Room, Comfort, Energy, and Entertainment. If they go to low then your Sim will be in a bad mood. Nothing good comes out of having a Sim in a bad mood. Trying to manage all of these can sometimes be very hard.

Sound:
Well there is not very much to tell you about the sound in this game. The music in The Sims Bustin' Out can get really old and repetitive fast. But there is only music in the game when you are in the main menu, build mode. There is also music if you buy a radio. But with that you can listen to a wider selection of songs instead of the same one over and over. The Sims have their own language in the game which is kind of cool I guess.

Final Recommendation:
If you like The Sims a lot and have never played this one before then you should rent this game. I would recommend getting The Sims 2 over this game though. Even The Sims for the computer is better then this game. This game has a Story Mode, a Free Play Mode, and Online Mode. The thing about this game that really made me mad was that you can only have 3 houses in Free Play. Three is not enough.

Final Score: 6/10
