Terminator 3: The Redemption
Review by zombiesmusher01
"Slightly entertaining, until you beat it..."
Introduction: Yes, another Terminator game to be hauled out of the franchise's weakening license. But surprisingly, this game might bring the name Terminator into conversations, which approve it! This game isn't bad.
Graphics: The graphics for this game are average. The character models are well done. The mouths move, they have fluid movements; but they aren't done that great. The environment is pretty impressive some times, but most of the time, they're standard. The buildings are colored and textured well, but their shading and polygon amount is pathetic. Basically, they're sometimes choppy, and bland. But pretty standard. 4/10
Sound: The sounds aren't all that great. The lasers all sound the same, the explosions sound pathetic. Like a firecracker going off very fast. The voice-overs are actually impressive for a Terminator game. But Arnold sounds abysmal. He has way to deep and booming of a voice to pull of high notes, and yelling, so its all in one tone. And his one-liners are really funny to listen to, but they are very stupid. But entertaining at the same time. Vehicles sound pretty good. Hovercraft sound like hovercraft, while trucks sound like trucks. The sounds are one of the best things about this game. 6/10
Story: The storyline is simple, and easy to guess. I can't say anything or it will spoil it, since it's so easy to guess. But I'll just let you know its entertaining. But seriously not the best. There are a lot better plots out there. 2/10
Game play: If you like destroying and blowing up things, and mindlessly shooting Robots on foot while fighting off enemies with your fists...this game isn't for you! 95% of this game, your in a stupid vehicle, flying/driving away from an enemy while shooting things in your way. And the other 5% of the game you walk in a straight course fighting extremely little amounts of enemies with only one, or two weapons. You have an upgrade system, which stinks. You only can upgrade your vision, which increases your attack power and Wait, that's all it doe's. Your vision only lasts... 5 seconds fully upgraded, and 2 seconds in the beginning.
Yup, what an amazing upgrade system. -Sarcasm-
Anyway, you'll find yourself replaying each level at least 15 times. The levels are so hard, it isn't funny! And with only 12 levels that take about 10 minutes to beat each, in one day you'll beat this game. Multi player is pathetic, seriously. You sit in a helicopter, and shoot enemies. That's it!
And yes, you do see the girl Terminator with no shirt on...seriously. Although I didn't care, you, the reader might raise an eyebrow. Well, you get it. Its bland, overrated, and only slightly entertaining, until you beat it and realize its a piece of garbage. 3/10
Replay Value: Very little. After one round of playing it, you won't go back and play it again. Multi player will only last ten minutes, and you might make your friends/family think you don't know what a good game is. That would be a scary life... 2/10
Final Recommendation: Rent it! Rent this game. Do not pay 40$ at EB to play this. But it makes a good week rental, and if you have a blockbuster Game pass like me, its worth a shot. I mean there's nothing to lose. But if not, you might not want to pay 7$ to rent it. But that's up to you.
Well, thanks for reading!
