"Timesplitters is back and even better!"

Timesplitters : Future Perfect is the third entry in the acclaimed Timesplitters series. It is a shooter which focuses heavily on multi-player action, especially with the all-new on-line gameplay!

Graphics : 8/10

The graphics aren't state of the art, but they get the job done. The maps all look very colorful and vibrant, with a funny cartoony touch. The animation is top notch, with some very realistic physics. The only letdown is that some slight frame drop occurs during the more hectic multiplayer matches

Sound : 8/10

Again, nothing earth-shattering but very solid nevertheless. The score is nice but you won't be humming the tunes for days on end. The voice acting, however, is superb. All characters have lots of personality and some of the dialogue is very funny, what with robots screaming : "Eat my laser! Eat it!" Sound effects are decent too.

Gameplay:

Single Player : 6/10

The Story Mode now comes with an actual story! It delves into the Timesplitters phenomenon some more through some nice, in-game cut-scenes. Playing as Cortez, you'll visit various levels, from Scotland in 1924 to futuristic, war-torn cities. It's a good ride while it lasts, but it's very short. On normal difficulty, it shouldn't take you more than 6 to 7 hours. The other modes, such as Challenge Mode and Arcade League are fun but won't keep you entertained for a long time.

Multiplayer : 9/10

This is were Timesplitters Future Perfect really shines! The offline, split-screen action is even more fun as it's predecessors. There are a lot of new maps and some of the old favorites return. The action is frantic and there's few lag noticeable, even when playing with four using a multitap. Even the bots' AI doesn't disappoint, they'll give you a hard time when you crank up their level.

The on-line modes are even better. You can actually play this game online with four players using a multitap! The online mode is the game's best feature, with a large on-line community and lots of modes (varying from capture the bag and death-match to new and inventive modes such as vampire and thief). It supports up to 8 people per map, which I think is just enough for the rather small maps. Sadly, it doesn't support clans.

Replay value : 10/1O

With so many things to do, you can easily put in a hundred hours in this game. I found myself going back and back to the online matches.

Overall : 9/10

If you already own Timesplitters 2 and don't plan to play this game on-line, I wouldn't recommend it. But everybody looking for a fun and frantic game with strong multiplayer support, should really get this game.
