Evergrace
Review by AuronDragon
"Lies right in the title"
This game doesn't last forever and it isn't graceful.
Story: 3/10
It's interesting to say the most. Trapped in a different world trying to get out. Everyone in the outside world thinks the source of all bad luck is the crest. A mysterious symbol on the hand of a few children. It is on the hand from the time of their birth, the cursed mark. A boy who bears the crest's parents are one day killed. He blames it on the crest and is taken in by a family. The daughter becomes like his sister. The boy is Darius and the girl is Sharline one day they are transported to the lost empire of R something. Trust me it is not as cool as it sounds.
Gameplay: 4/10
You can buy and upgrade weapons, but as soon as you max out one, a stronger one appears that you must upgrade again. The same goes for all your equipment you can change the color and upgrade but as soon as it's perfect another one comes along. And as soon as your just getting comfortable with the situation you must switch to the other character and pretty much start all over again. Sharline has long ranged while Darius has short. You also have a bar that tells how strong your actions will be. The lower it is the less your attacks will do. Running and attacking all lower it. And the actual fighting is boring it's basically two attacks run around attack again. You also get to use palmira actions thet your equipment enable.
Sounds: 2/10
I'm normally not one to enjoy music but this game reinforces that ten times over. The sound effects are annoying too. You're going to want to mute your tv if you somehow get the notion to buy this game after reading this review.
Graphics: 5/10
Could be worse, could be better. Looks fake compared to what games amount to nowadays. You can't even see the crest on Darius's hand during gameplay and that's supposed to be the key or something.
Replay Value: 1/10
None what so ever for me. The only thing you can do is customize your weapons and stuff to get the perfect suit. And that's not even a good reason to play it again.
Overall: 3/10
AD gives this game a 3/10 because this game sucks to the highest value. If only the preview of the story on the back of the casing hadn't been so interesting I would have saved 5$0 on this pathetic excuse for a game.
