"FUN!FUN!This game is so FUN!"

When Christmas was coming around I was thinking on what things I should get. I have a huge likeness for video games so that was the topic I thought about. And then I remembered this game from a demo. Seemed nice. So I asked my Mum if I could have it and she told my sister Kym to get it for me.

That was one of the BEST DECISIONS I'VE EVER MADE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! This game is not awesome! It's SUPER AWESOME! All of the things to do in this game and all of the times you'll replay this game because of how fun it is. You'll hardly ever get bored with this game and is very well worth the price you pay for it.

Gameplay 10/10

You play as Ratchet, a creature that's supposed to be a lombax, with a robot on your back. You play in 19 different planets and other worlds that have everything from challenging to fun! There are items you need to collect throughout the game in order to complete it. You use a total of 15 weapons to completely annihilate your enemies and there are gadgets you use to swing across large gaps, disguise yourself as a robot and walk upside-down! The weapons that you use are guns like the Blaster or the really powerful Visibomb Gun! Other weapons include the Tesla Claw, very cool weapon, the Decoy Glove, that enemies mistake for the real Ratchet, and the all powerful R.Y.N.O (Rip Ya a New One), that blast all of your enemies to dust. You'll also get to use a hoverboard at some point in the game and you participate in a race!

Speaking of enemies these are the best enemies that I have seen in a game that look really alien-like and they all attack you different ways, making this game even more of a pleasure to play.

Also during the game are these special gold bolts that you collect. If you collect enough of them you'll get to buy some special weapons!

Also this game is a game that will make you want to play it again and again.

Sounds And Music 10/10

The music is awesome. It makes you feel like that you're really in outer space. The sounds are really cool too. There are plenty of sounds that the enemies and weapons all make that make this game even more realistic.

Graphics 10/10

These are the best graphics I have so far seen in a Playstation game. The backgrounds make you feel like you're in outer space and those flying cars make everything in this game look real. Plus the graphics really did fit with the theme of the planet. For example Planet Orxon is an ugly toxicated planet. So they made the colours greenish and the plant life looks disgusting. Yes the game was pretty much very realistic.

Controls 8/10

The controls are very simple and easy to use (this is an analog stick game) but Ratchet moves very slow. But hey that's what Clank's for. By using Clank you can use his Heli-Pack or Thruster-Pack upgrade to Stretch Jump all the way to move faster. You also get to control Clank at certain points in the game. It's really easy control because you hardly have much to do as Clank.

The contols for the hoverboard are pretty dodgy and it's more than likely you'll fail at a race a few times before you complete it. And to get some really good points in the races you'll have to do some pretty tricky controlling in order to do tricks. But still it's fairly good.

But the controls for the Giant Clank are really awesome and very fun. There's alot of smashing and crashing enemies that are large robots, smashing and smashing.......... and blow alot of s**t up!

Story 7/10

The only thing that's not that great is the story. It's just a stop the bad guys from taking over the universe storyline. You have to stop Chairman Drek from destroying planets so he can make his own planet just for money. So off goes Ratchet, a lombax, and Clank, a small robot guy, on a quest, travelling from planet to planet looking for Captain Qwark (a really annoying superhero that I'd like to smack real hard across the face) who, in their minds, is the only one who can do anything. Basically it's just another good vs evil storyline. Not really that great. Moving on....

Difficulty 6/10

The game will start to get difficult as it gets near the end but really once you start getting really good at it, it gets easier. You'll learn useful strategies that will help you get past certain points in the game and it will get more funner each time. And hey once you start getting really good at it you'll unlock certain skill points that unlock certain goodies in the game. And after you finish this once you'll always come back for more.

RENT OR BUY?

Now if you like games like the Naughty Dog games then I suggest renting before buying. But if you're interested in the Spyro series so far then buy this game! You won't regret it!

In overall this is one of the best games that ever came out on Playstation and will be cherished for many many years. Bravo Insomniac Games!
