Midway Arcade Treasures 2

"This is a great package"

This is the best arcade package that as ever been released. Since you really can't compare any of these games to current games, I will pretend that I am in 1995, and am thinking about purchasing a Playstation or a Saturn.

Graphics: 10 in 1995, but in 2005 they still are a 10 in my book, maybe it's because I get a teary eyed remembering all the good times I had with Mortal Kombat II on my Sega Game Gear, and SNES. The other games are all okay, with NARC and Total Carnage the only other games that I like. Mortal Kombat 3 is good, but I wasn't a big fan.

Sound: The sound in MKII and MK3 is good, all the voices are there and they all sound pretty good from what I remember, None of the announcers voices are missing, really does a good job of mimiking the crappy arcade speakers in a loud arcade.

Gameplay: I love the Mortal Kombat games, and Narc and Total Carnage. I have played these alot and the only thing keeping them going is there addictive qualities. The actual gameplay is non existant, you really just need to like these games alot.

Fun: The most important part, I had a great time and love having arcade perfect (for the most part) games in my collection. I will always enjoy MKII and will like to play it far longer than my SNES will hold out, and now this is possible with the durinbility of DVD's and PS3 being backward compatible. Overall this whole package is a great time, but not recommended for people who didn't like these games 15-20 years ago. I love playing these games still even 13 years after MKII came out in arcades.

This is a great package for fans of the old Midway games, back when they were on top, the greatest game producer of the time, and is well deserving of your two rolls of quarters. So forget about trying to find an arcade, stay at home and enjoy Midway arcade Treasures 2. I can't wait for 3 to come out later this year. Now only if I could have an arcade perfect version of NBA JAM with updated player rosters! Midway, I hope you read this!
