Graffiti Kingdom

"Graffiti Kingdom truly is a great game"
Graphics 9
I feel the graphics in this game, though not as good as some top quality titles are very well done. The bright and beautiful environments are highly enjoyable with crazy landscapes and weird places to visit. The characters that the people at Taito and Hot-B have made are just as crazy as I would expect from a game that lets you make your own characters. The animation is smoothed out from Magic Pengel and instead of having the creations you draw look like sketches they look like the 3D characters you would find in other games. I think the art style portrays the game better then if it would have extremely realistic graphics.
Audio 9
I loved the music in Graffiti Kingdom. It seemed to fit every crazy situation with an equally crazy song. My favorite was the intro song which got me itching to play the game even more. The voice acting is good too. I did not expect to see quality voice acting in such a under-hyped game but to my surprise it was included which is great. The only thing that bothers me is that they made the boy tablet sound like a girl, but I can ignore that because the rest of the acting is so well done. I especially liked how you can make your graffiti monsters have their own voices.
Control 10
The game controls well. Each character that you make has a fluid set of movements you can make them do. There is always a walking style that handles just the way you expect your monster to. The attack system is very involved allowing you to choose from shooting fire balls and breathing fire to punching and kicking. Each action is assigned to the control pad by you so if you don't like how the controls are laid out you can change them. The old fashioned platforming of the game is a joy when you are using a character you made yourself.
Gameplay 10
The game itself is the best thing to come to gamers since Katamari Damacy. The drawing system for making your characters is very involved. There are many parts to choose from to make a monster to your liking. There have been added touches to the character creation that help tremendously like the copy tool and line tool while some parts I still can't figure out what they are for like the knee or stick leg. The variety in the drawing system assures you that your character will look how you want it to. Like I said earlier the attack system is brilliantly done. There are so many choices of attacks and you are constantly gaining more as you copy them from other enemies. The actual game itself is fun with charming enemies that the designers have made that roam around in beautiful environments. The dialogue is funny and the bosses are difficult making the game challenging enough for everyone to enjoy.
Final Word
THIS GAME IS A MUST GET! For all of you who like new ideas and fun gameplay this is for you! With the price tag between 20 to 30 dollars it would be a shame to pass up this great game up. It might be a little hard to find right now but if you keep looking it will be worth the effort.
