Sonic Mega Collection Plus

"This is the Sonic Mega Collection to buy."

Sonic Mega Collection Plus is probably one of those compilation collections to have, even if you are not a Sonic fan at all. I was pleasantly surprised that Sega did not done anything too drastically to this collection. And with more games and bonus material than the original Sonic Mega Collection, this is something that will not disappoint you.

Graphics/Sound: 9/10 This got the original games' graphics and sound. Sega did the right thing and left the games' graphic and sound like the originals'. This gives you the feeling that you are playing the originals that were on the Genesis and the GameGear. This was a surprise to me, but a pleasant surprise.

Gameplay: 9/10 This game got good controls. The buttons are a little clunky for this game, but not too bad. And once you get use to it, it is smooth. Also the games are like the originals, so don't expect anything too wild when playing. Also having 20 playable games helps with gameplay too.

Replay: 10/10 When you got 20 games to play, a resigned interface, and additional bonus materials and just for the price of $19.95, you are getting maximum bang for your dollar. Just about all of them are worth playing ten or more times. Beside, you are getting the following: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles, Sonic 3d Blast, Sonic Spinball, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, The Ooze, Comix Zone, Flicky, Ristar, and 7 more games as well. The only thing that is missing is Sonic CD, but that is alright because all the other games and the bonus materials makes up for that loss. Also the way to unlock some of the games is time-consuming and repetitive.

Final Recommendation: Buy it. A game with that many games for very little money is always worth having. Even if you got Sonic Mega Collection for GameCube, this is worth getting because of the extra games and bonus material. Even if you are not a fan of Sonic you will like this collection.
