NBA 2K6

"Best NBA 2K Game to Date"
Gameplay: This is obviously the most changed aspect of the game. This year they introduced many new elements to the game such as the shot stick, ismotion 3, and dual player control. The shot stick is very creative and intuitive; when performing a jump shot, using the shot stick seems more natural than pressing a button. The isomotion 3 is easily much better than its predecessor. You can now perform moves like cross overs, spins, half spins, and behind the back motions. Oh, and you can link them as well. The dual player feature is a nice addition that allows the player to move other players on the team in a cut to the basket, come off a screen, post up, or spot up for the three. So as you can see all this new features allow the player to get open and score in a new variety of ways. 9/10
Sound: Long gone are the days of listening to the horrid commentary by Bill Walton. the new commentators for the game feature Kevin Harlan and Kenny "The Jet" Smith. Rarely do they miss a beat during commentary, which allows for a much smoother and realistic commentary. 9/10
Graphics: For the most part this aspect of the game remained the same from last years, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They did add some new animations but the most obvious addition is that the NET ACTUALLY MOVES when you make a shot, which makes the game feel a lot more realistic. 9/10
Play Time/Replayability: This is obviously one of the most important aspects to a gamer that doesn't want to stop playing a sports game within a week. I assure you that you will be playing this game for months. The Association mode is revamped which now allows for you to sign players to contracts that are front loaded, base year, or with raises. Gone are the headaches of trying to scroll through menus. You will now have one screen in which you can find what you are looking for in record time. with all the new features and revamped gameplay from last years installment there should be enough to keep you entertained for months to come.
As always if you are looking for a basketball simulation game that you will not get tired of playing, then this is a must buy for you.
Overall: 9/10
