SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs
Review by supersizeme
"SOCOM 3- One of the best games ever made. Easy must buy."
SOCOM 3 is just...wow, so different, so many things to talk about, so I'll go ahead and break it up.
Single Player Mode.
The one thing i do not know much is single player but I will say a bit in how single player relates to the multiplayer experience of SOCOM 3. Single player has a variety of missions in several different countries all over the globe. The element of a 4 man team is still in place, with a 2 new Seals, in place of 2 you had in SOCOM II. But i really want to concentrate on what single player does for multiplayer. In single you can beat the game on many different difficulty settings. You can earn unlockables such as characters, weapons(think I-dub), and new attachments. These can then be used in multiplayer modes.
Now onto the multi-player.
Graphics:
The graphics are increased over SOCOM II but SOCOM 3 still has an edgy framerate. however, the large scale of huge maps doesn't hurt SOCOM 3 at all, and overall the graphics create lush, deep environments.
Gameplay(Online)
The online gameplay has taken its game up several notches. Now including 20 different vehicles, the game HAS changed alot. The vehicles add extraordinary amounts of teamwork and help to refine crafty snipers skills. The boats just look downright cool. The grenades look cooler, the physics are better, all in all it feels like your their, especially physics such as splashing water and limp bodies. Also, weapons are now totally customizable with several addons usefuil in helping you on your quest, including laser sights, scopes of all kinds, m203's and even nifty grenade pistol type deals.
Presentation(online)
The interfaces are quite handy, and several cool features have been added. You can now send friend invites to people while in games, invites pop-up to you,( so you don't forget and lose them on a turn-off) your armory is accesible after greening up, and several other nice things add to a great presentation.
Overall
In the end, SOCOM 3 US Navy Seals gets a 9/10 and my seal(No pun intended...) of approval. It shows up its predecessor, and many other titles hoping to gain sales this fall. It is definitely a must buy game.
