SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs

"This game gave me a huge B, so I'm giving it a huge A"

Socom 3 is undoubtedly the best game of the series. Seriously, it's so good; I'm probably going to get at least 500 hours out of it before Christmas time. With bigger and better maps, somewhat improved graphics, and tons of vehicles this game is just extremely fun to play. It's a must buy for online players of first person shooters.

Graphics 8/10: The graphics for this game are somewhat improved, but they could get better. However, any fan of Socom knows that the graphics, unlike many other games, aren't that important. Any movement that you make with the character brings an extremely realistic sound effect with it, so you feel that you are actually there. It's some good stuff

Story Mode 5/10: I am not too big a fan of the story mode in this game, and I'm going to go ahead and assume that you aren't either. I didn't play the game too much so I don't know much about it, but I'm going to go ahead and say that it's pretty good. I have a buddy who told me it was good, so I'll believe him. He's kind of an idiot however, so you can think what you want with that.

Online Mode 10/10: This is what the game is all about. This is possibly the most important series to the Playstation 2 franchise, and they definitely came through in this installment of the game. With huge maps, more players being able to play in a single game, awesome weapons, etc., you could get lost playing this game for hours and hours on hand. It's probably twice as addictive as Socom II, and to all of you that played it you know what I'm talking about. The characters are about the same, maybe a little bit better graphics wise, but who really cares about that. Riding the vehicles is seriously the most fun thing EVER. You can drive around and totally “Pwn some n00bs” or “Pwn a n00b” who's driving around not having a clue what they are doing. Playing online is what this game is all about…a true Socomer knows that.

Overall 10/10: I don't know much about the story mode, frankly because I just don't care. The online play is incredible, the best yet. This is without a doubt the best online game to ever hit the PS2, or to hit any other system for that matter. It's a definite buy. Don't waste your money renting it, because you will definitely go out and buy it after you've gotten a taste. Yeah that's right, I said a taste.
