Crash Tag Team Racing
Review by OldSchoolDisney
"This sealed the Crash Franchise."
Crash Bandicoot began as means of entertainment for the sort of all ages haveing it's franchise begin with the developer Naughty Dog. Eventually, Naughty Dog had no need for the sponsership of universal and decided to go it's seperate way leaveing the funny looking desks, and Crash. Since then Crash has been going through a major slump that continue till it is chosen to finally "cleam out the closet". First with Crash Bash which was disgusting then Wrath of Cortex which was absolutly appauling along with Crash Nitro Kart. Those two have no value and deserve absolutly in no way the title of a successor. Because the key word in that is SUCCESS which it lacked. Then came Crash Twinsanity which brought the idea that it would be fun to have enimies alliey for the sake of entertainment. That...is just sick. That'd be like Mario and Bowzer working together for the sake of saving Peach from some dismal new enemy since Mario is also going down the drain.
Now Universal Has ditched the Crash Franchise and gave it to seirra. Unfortinatly, the game still upholds the mediocracy as always. This time with an action/adventure/racing genre developed by our good friends Radical ent. Who of course managed to save The Simpsons but in Crash case...well, not so much success.
Gameplay:
The Game begins with an evil robotic scientist with some sort of german accent wanting to get all the power gems so that he may in some way be able to control the world. Somehow he needs others to compete in his races and looks who comes crawling in...or dare I say, Crashing in! haha, lame!
The on foot action is something least to be desierd. interacting with the others becomes more and more incoherent as the game progresses. The fact that your collecting coins instead of wamba fruits seems alittle odd. Although this is placed in a carnival and using fruit as income seems a tad odd, the game in it's on foot lacks originality.
The Kart racing lacks challenge. Nothing really speacial. you think it would be more funny to have a monkey holding a time bomb but it's not. I has the same effect as dropping a banana. OMG, I dropped a banana!
Audio:
Nothing memorable. It's pretty much the same thing given from Twinsanity which in simple terms, Don't Say not too much.
Last Appeal:
This is the type of game for hardcore fans but even then I give them 2 to 3 weeks before they put down the controller for something alittle more fun.
Closing Comments:
Crash franchise has died. Nobody really enjoys the childish Fanchise anymore. Not even the children. They're more into goory, disgusting, vile games that shouldn't even come to market. But That's our issue in corruption. This game has lost it's appeal and it is officially too late to save the franchise. Spyro is put away it's time his good friend Crash join him too.
