"Quite Disappointing"

Before we get started, let me clear a few things up. I say that this game is quite disappointing because they were making it out to be one of the best games out there. No more loading times! Great new maps! A fantastic classic mode! Well, every category was disappointing.

First of all, lets start with the load times. Once you load the level, you supposedly dont have any more loading times. Well, in a way, thats right. In a way, thats wrong. Between areas, there are these tunnels. They are differently designed tunnels, but still tunnels. Also you skate amazingly slow while you are in these tunnels. It takes three brain cells to figure out that this is something for you to do while the game loads. This was probably one of the most upsetting things in this game.

Also, all I can say about the maps is that they are so-so. I like one or two, I dislike one or two, and the rest are okay. Nothing really stands out to me. They are pretty good as far as the graphics department is concerned, but otherwise, just nothing sticks out.

As usual, its a story mode that is neither long nor challenging. Actually, I think I burnt through this one faster than THUG 2. Also, the story still doesn't really get you that involved. Another tony hawk game where I just don't care about the story line at all.

The supposedly great classic mode is just boring in my opinion. I don't enjoy ANY of the maps in classic mode. Just not much to say about this area, besides that its the same old stuff, not much fun.

Now, there are some good things about the game. They've added a few new tricks, like front and back tucks, wall runs, bert slides and rail stalls. Also, graphically, the game is great for the PS2 console. Unfortunately, this game is just an old house with a new paint job. May seem like a good purchase, but I wouldn't be so sure.
