"Fast-Paced, Alien Blasting Action"
I first saw this game on the net as a free flash demo and I absolutely loved it. A few months later I saw it in a store and I just had to pick it up.
Story (4/10)
Basically you're an alien who flies too close to earth and gets shot down. Your ship is then taken by the government and it's up to you to get it back. There are only a couple of cutscenes and none of them feature voice acting. However the story does present some humorous moments and since this game is just a 2-D Shooter anybody looking for a rich story should search someplace else.
Graphics (9/10)
Excellently done. The game has a great cartoony feel to it with plenty of over the top death animations for your enemies. I personally love how everything looks, my only gripe is that they reused the same enemy models way to many times.
Controls (10/10)
Quick, Simple, and Responsive, just as they should be.
Gameplay (8/10)
The gameplay is fast paced, with tons of onscreen enemies and numerous bullets to dodge. Also every level features an end boss, which really serves to mix up the action. There's plenty of powerups and weapons, basically everything you would expect from a 2-D action game. The game also delivers in the co-op. It's a ton of fun to go around with a friend blasting enemies. The only real problem the game has in my eyes is that it can glitch, I already experienced 2 glitches that forced me to start over. Also some of the bosses can be ridiculously cheap which makes some levels not fun to play.
Replay (10/10)
The heart of any game like this is the ability to play it over and over. Since the game in itself is very short it makes things like high score runs and things like that a lot more fun to do. The game also has some unlockable minigames that are fun for a little while. Also having a friend to play this game with will stretch out the experience tremendously.
Buy or Rent
Since this game is only 20 bucks and is hard to find, I'd say buy it.
