"Resident Evil clone or not, still lots of fun to be had!"

First off, I love survival horror games. They're just one of the best genres around. And this game is one of the best.

The Graphics:
Pretty good. This game is a couple years old. But I was impressed. David Duchovny's large nose looks exactly as it should. The atmosphere of creepyness is maintained by the graphics. The one minor thing I have to complain about is that that environments are sometimes very dark, as in too dark. It can be hard to see what's going on. But they do give you a flash light for a reason. But that doesn't help for cut scenes. It really ruins the experience for me. But I haven't tried it on a TV other then my own so perhaps my TV is just incredibly dark. But don't buy this game unless your TV has a brightness setting. There is also no way to increase the brightness through an in game option or something. But the graphics get a 9/10 with one point off for not including a in game brightness adjustment.

The Sound:
I know your all thinking: Oh God a licensed game. Incredibly bad voices. But rejoice my friends for David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are here to provide voices! No crappy people trying to sound like the stars of the show like that Buffy: Chaos Bleeds PS2 game. The other sounds are great as well. The trade mark X-Files intro music is there. Zombies and Aliens groan very satisfactorily when you kill them. The sound shall have a score of: 10/10 if only because they got Duchovny and Anderson to voice their characters.

The Gameplay:
The most important part of a game is where X-Files: Resist or Serve really shines. Fans of the series will love this game to bits. You get to go around exploring a deserted town for the first part of the game and then, well you go some where else, I won't ruin the surprise. In the deserted town you get to look for clues and kill zombies while trying to solve the murder of 2 teenage girls. There are 2 different paths you can choose. Mulder and Scully. They are different enough to warrant a second play through after you've beaten one. But Scully's game is not for the weak of stomach. Just keep that in mind. One of the best parts of this Some of the other things you do are classic survival horror things. Find a weird charm necklace type thing to unlock a big gate that leads you know where but you have to do anyway. Finding a special item to kill a boss and things like that. If you've played Resident Evil you know what to expect for the camera and controls. Personally I don't mind them but others don't like them. One thing you have is unlimited inventory space!!! EVERY RESIDENT EVIL FANS DREAM HAS COME TRUE!!!!!!! The game play is perfect so it gets a 10/10.

Overall:
One of the best games I have ever played. Aside from dark cut scenes but that may just be my TV. Don't let that discourage you from this amazing game. One thing is though do to the amount of inside jokes and things fans of the show might not like this game that much but over all score is a 10/10 (note this is not an average)
