"What's not to like? I think he's cooler in this, but he needs to work on his humour - and yelling"

Introduction

The events of Sands of Time is going to lead The Prince to his doom. He has to change his fate, he's just that fool of himself. No man has ever changed their fate. The Dahaka will not stop. He won't stop the Prince is DEAD. Warrior Within is set on the Island of Time, seven years after the events of The Sands of Time. It is a great game believe me, other fan boys of Prince didn't like his change. From a charming and humorous prince, to a big, arrogant brute who has to work on when he yells.

Story

The story is about Prince trying to change his fate. Since the Dahaka - a mythical beast who chases down anyone who trifles with the Sands. In this case Prince, even though he rewinded time before it was released by himself, but he still had the Dagger and he still did used it. Now he is going to be chased forever. So the Prince is setting sail for the Island of Time, to use something to go back in time and defeat the Empress of Time before she makes the Sands. So Prince finds himself going back and forth through time to accomplish this goal, going through obstacles in the past and removing them so you can move easier through the present. So while the Prince is on course he is attacked by people... And finds himself on the Island.

Gameplay

The gameplay has been through lots, especially the fighting system which lets you do so many different combos! You can develop your own styles of fighting enemies. The puzzles have been toned down in this. Certainly not the enemies, if you bash them with only your main weapon some of them can take LOTS of hits, thats why, if you only do have one weapon, there are still awesome new ways to kill enemies, you know vaulting over enemies? Still there. Rebounding of walls and lunge into a stab? Still here! A new way is to press Triangle, you can't use a secondary weapon cause you don't have one! So instead you grab the enemy, from here, you can slash them, throw them, steal their weapon, use them as a human shield... see thats Free Form, you can do lots of different things and stick to that style! There are actually bosses in this game and plenty of it, that was something missing in the first one... there was only ONE boss fight and that was the final one! Bosses take some strategy, in this every single attack cannot be blocked! People can trip you and attack while you are down. Another new addition is the Dahaka chases, in some scenes the Dahaka is close to you and the camera angle changes, the color goes in a light brown tone... and you have to quickly outrun the beast before it gets you and kills you!

Graphics and Sound

The environments are beautiful! Soft touch to it, nice, great! Prince looks different... his face... But everything looks in top form! Now here's a problem, even though the music sounds okay... it doesn't fit with the theme... Prince of PERSIA. I doubt in the old days people listened to hard rock songs from Godsmack, I mean come one! The Prince yells randomly if you swing your blade, which is annoying too. Its not top notch but its something at least. I enjoyed the Persian music from the first one.

Value

There are tonnes of artwork scattered around the Island! You can collect all then view them in the Extras menu. And with a more lengthy playtime then the first and alternative endings, this game will keep you busy, and you might like starting again using different attacks you neglected before!

Other Info

There is some big annoyances in this game, there are tonnes of glitches, try to enjoy the game as much as I have without them bothering you, there are some scares because some glitches can stop your game, and it'll be a total shame to start once more when you make it quite far. Fortunately, I didn't get those... I'm not sure I got any glitches though.
