"The Legend Lives On"
Legion: Legend of Excalibur
Introduction: You are reading this and thinking- What? I never heard of this game! Well, join the club. This is probably one of the most underrated games in the PS2 library.
Graphics. 9/10- Wow, that's all I could say when I popped in the disc into my PS2. You will probably see some of the most amazing graphics to date in this game. No it doesn't stand up to the likes of Final Fantasy, but still definantly nice to look at. You can see every detail from King Arthur's incredible golden armor to the shadowy cloaks of the legendary Merlin.
Story. 8/10- Ok, I will start with the negatives here. When you start the game it feels like you started reading from the middle of a book. Still, as the story progresses, you get to meet some legendary characters like Lancelot or Merlin. In the story, your brother was murdered ( who was next to be the next king). You find yourself the ruler of a kingdom who's people are in chaos. As you progress throughout the story you meet the knights of the round table and try to restore peace and order to your land.
Gameplay. 10/10- I don't think this can get much simpler. All the buttons are assigned perfectly so you don't have to think what your doing, it all comes to you naturally. The controls are easy and nice to use, making the game very enjoyable. It is also extremely easy to switch from one character to another, everything is done by a push of the button.
Sound. 10/10- Simply amazing, thats all I could say about this category. The voice acting is really great and the in-game sound effects are awsome to. From the magic cast by Merlin to the clash of Arthur's shield, everything about this is put together very well.
Rent or Buy?- The game is not to long, but if you do everything, you could easily put over 30 hours into this baby. My suggestion is definantly buy, as this game will bring a lot of fun and enjoyment to you.
