"A hilarious, fresh journey of world domination."

Story: The story is really simple and funny. You play as an alien in a race dying out, and you need to collect DNA buried in the humans to continue cloning all your species to survive in the galaxy. Luckily for you its located in their brain stems, so all you need to do is electrocute until their brain pops or, or of course shove a probe into them and pull it out that way. There's a hilarious sub-plot going around with people trying to stop you and keep you from "Destroying all humans!" Its nothing bad, and it doesn't take itself seriously. Really I found it funny and stupid, but don't take it seriously. 7/10

Sound: Dialogue is cheesy and hilarious. The main character sounds like Jack Nicholson in many ways. Your master sounds to me like Jack black with a raspy voice. Obviously voices you wouldn't expect from aliens. Anyway, the script is hilarious. Your character always says things like, "Pathetic humans!" and of the such. Very funny stuff. The game is crammed with pretty good jokes, but sometimes over the top. Like the mayor talking about his well... you know. Same thing from a lady you beam into your ship. How it got T rating is a big surprise, but I don't care. It was funny. Moving on, the sound effects and weapons are surprisingly have very high quality sound and care to them. Explosions sound great and are some of the best you'll hear in a while, huge death rays tearing through houses never sounded better. Electricity frying humans looks goofy but sounds great. I have no problems with the sound, its all high quality. Funny as heck dialogue, good voice actors for their parts and wonderful sound effects. Very good stuff. 9/10

Graphics: I'm not sure where to start here. They're some of the best on Ps2. Huge open cities and towns with very good textures and detail. You can tell they put a lot of work into it when you see individual blades of grass blowing in the wind, newspapers kicking up from the ground, and of course cows smashing through the front doors of houses. Buildings look good. They're well textured and detailed, but not much polish makes them of course look grainy and fake most of the time. Water effects are very poor though. It looks more like pudding actually, but I'm not attacking it. They did a lot of other stuff, and with systems RAM hold backs they did a very nice job. However, I can not say such good things about the rest of the game. Character models are stiff and ugly, cows and cars look pretty bad and the list goes on. But seeing the loads of positive things they did with the visuals its easily forgivable. They can't make everything look perfect. 9/10

Game play: With a name like Destroy all humans you'd expect this game to have good game play right? Well, it delivers on most parts. Its free roaming, so there's a lot of stuff to do. Like flipping cars through the air, smashing people constantly on the side walk with your mind, throwing huge grenades at tanks and of course beaming them to heck in your UFO with the death ray. If you've played Mercenaries you'll know the feel to this game. You're character has a load of health and powerful weapons, and all you see is your enemy.
You get a few weapons including an electric gun, Disintegrating Ray. grenades and some more. There aren't many, but then again you don't need many. Each has their purpose. Grenades are used against cars, electric gun against people and so on. You only get one vehicle in the game and that's the UFO. It comes with a ray gun at first, then a shock wave generator and I'll leave the last weapon for you to find out. Its awesome. Your enemies get a variety of weapons. Shotguns, grenade launchers, rifles and machine guns naming a few. But when you have the power to destroy all humans, what do their puny weapons mean to you anyway? Death to humans! There aren't many missions in the game. (Ten or so.) but they're fun and range from objectives like leveling a drive through movie and capturing generals to fighting robots. They're varied, fun, and exciting in some points. And when you beat a level you can re-play it but with no objectives, so its like free roaming. If you want to destroy every single thing go ahead. If you want to jump off a roof go knock yourself out. There's a lot to do, but it becomes boring rather quickly. How many times do you want to level a building or kill humans? There's no on line or co-op, so that hurts. The extras you get when you beat the game are decent at best. Its sweet but short. 7/10

Replay: Like I said there's no co-op or on line. That really stinks. this game will last a week or so, and then it'll start getting boring. Its a fun, fresh experience but could've been done better. 6/10

Final: I'd call this game the ultimate rental. A week is a /perfect/ amount of time to enjoy this game. Don't buy it, it'll be a waste of money. Give it a rent and see how you like it.
