The Polar Express

"All Aboard the Horror Express! *SPOILERS inside*"

Many of you might have thought that the Polar Express movie was great and thought, 'Whoa! A Polar Express game would rock!' If so, you were sadly mistaken. This game, unfortunately, does not rock.

Graphics

The review begins with a nine. Great head start, bad scores in the middle. The graphics are great with cutscenes ripped straight off the Polar Express film. The gameplay graphics are somewhat like Harry Potter games graphics.

Story

The Polar Express game follows the story of the movie. It is about a young boy who cannot force himself to believe that Santa Clause is real. Then, a mysterious train comes and the conductor there shepherds him aboard. This train is supposed to take them to the North Pole to meet Santa Clause.

But on this journey,the boy falls into horribly boring adventures making the game dreadfully easy.

Gameplay

Like I said, the game is horribly easy and short. As soon as you play it (or even see it) you'll know how terrible it is. The skiing level was okay, but besides that, everything else is boring. Elite gamers will probably complete this game in half an hour. I am serious. The most difficult thing coming from this game was tennis. There is only one boss in the game, and even he is easy. People under the age of seven have a chance of liking this though.

The audio's okay. It is not horrible or anything. Don't let it get to your head. You should not buy a game just because of good audio.

Play Time/Replayability

NO. Playing this game once is enough. It is too boring to replay. The game should not last anybody more than five hours. It is extremely easy, except for the tennis part in level one. It is the most challenging thing in the game. Like I said before, skiing was okay, but the rest.... horrible because of the easy gameplay and boring storyline.

Should I Buy It?

No. Definitely not. I'm warning you. It is way too easy and the gameplay is also boring. You should save your money for a better game. The game is just horrible. Trust me. Don't even consider buying this. Even renting it is a mistake. If you have bought this game as a gift, you should return it right away.
