"Besides some of the things that are noticably wrong, its a pretty good game"

This game is purely Beat 'em up, with a lot of RPG elements in it. I guess that's what people want in an X-Men game. Me, I like Final Fantasy type RPGs better, but that doesn't mean I don't love these games.

Graphics: 7

To be honest with you, the graphics suck. The scenery is great, but the character models are far from great. The CGI are beautifully animated, some of the best I've seen, but the face models look kind of scary. They are cartoon graphics, but they did a bad job of rendering the characters miniature features, like the hair, faces, and hands. Especially the hands. Some of the levels are beautiful, but some of them are bland. They are too small for someone like me. I wish they would have made the whole thing bigger. It would have been better to me if they would have made it to where the camera is behind the person you play instead of a bird's eye view in the single player part of it. The screen can get a little..... well.... crowded. If that's what you like, then, by all means, but if you like the view like what I described then this part will get on your nerves. It did just a little for me.

Sound: 9

The sound here is better than the first, but some of the voice acting is just down right bad. Its only here and there, but its still noticeable. Good thing they got Patrick Stewart for Professor X. I think he was made to play him. Although there are some cons to it. When in the mission briefing, the voice acting doesn't necessarily line up with the characters mouths. Very noticeable.

Gameplay: 9

I like this game's gameplay. This game has more powers, and an easy way to access them without having to wait to go to the Team Management Screen. It's easy to get into with the fighting with simple controls like X and O as fighting, Triangle as jumping, and Square as picking up and throwing. My favorite part of the gameplay is the flying, although you really don't need to use it to get through the game and probably just inserted it because its is a part of the some of the the characters' powers. Since I like the flying, naturally, I wish they could have made the environments bigger so you could fly higher than what they actually did. There are many characters to play as, ranging from Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm, and even my favorite, Rogue. You won't be disappointed.

Story: 8

The story is simple: stop a maniacal, powerful mutant from taking over the world. See, wasn't that easy? Apocalypse takes....... well, I'm not gonna spoil it for you, but its..... different how he tries to conquer the world.

Overall

This game is great by yourself or with your friends. I would buy this game in a heartbeat, but I that's just what I would do.
