FIFA Soccer 06

FIFA 06 is an absolutely fantastic football game. EA Sports have now made well over ten soccer games, which of course have just being getting better and better. However for the past four or five years, FI-FA has had a huge challenge for being best football game, from the Pro Evolution Soccer series. However this newest game, 06, has proved that EA Sports will always have the biggest advantage over the pro evolution soccer series, which is that they have the licenses to all the big leagues, clubs and players.

Game play: The biggest advantage that pro evolution soccer used to have over FI-FA was that pro evolution soccer had a very entertaining and user friendly Master League. However 06 has matched the master league with manager mode. In manager mode you are able to not only play as your favourite team, but control what is going on off the field. This includes upgrading stuff, and getting scouts to find good young talent in all continents which are available to sign. You also as a manager, have to speak to the press and try to keep the owners of your club happy.

Another fun thing that has been added into this game, is that all the leagues have been spilt up into zones, along with both fun and difficult challenges to go along with the zones. For example in zone 1, the English football zone, there is a challenge where you have to be a team from any region and who is one star. You then have to go and play a team from zone 1 which is at least four stars and is on ‘professional difficulty'.

Graphics and Sounds: The graphics in this one are much better then in 05. Also the camera angle makes the game look much more realistic and also more fun. You could almost feel like your watching football on TV! Also there are new commentators. Even though most football commentator's end up being annoying, these two are not that bad. They don't make many mistakes, but of course they make a few.

Final Word: Having played both 06 and pro evolution soccer 5, I suggest that you should get 06. It is much more realistic, much more fun and entertaining, and also its game which I think will make you want to play the game much longer. Like always, there is a new FI-FA game every single season, and if the next FI-FA football game is better then the next pro evolution soccer game, I think that we can say that ea sports has completely shrugged off the challenge from pro evolution, and has yet again, became the best football game of the year.

So if you see this game and you have enjoyed playing football or soccer games before, I strongly suggest that you buy this game.
