"A hunters paradise"

Monster hunter gives you exactly what it says on the tin, Hunting monsters. Most monsters are based on a similar vain to dinosaurs with the exception of the dragon like wyverns. The game is exceptionally challenging offline, but still fun, Online the game really shines. Teamwork is exceptional. Although those upswinging great swordsmen can be a pain in the but.

Graphics: 10/10
I can't fault the graphics in this game, everthing down to the grass blowing in the wind and the awesome drawpoint of the mountains in the distance are superbly done, And a great congratulations has to go to the character and creature designers as both are amazing looking, the Wyverns (with the exception of the crazy looking Kut-ku which is cool but cartoony.) all look great. can't fault em.

Story: 7/10
the main story is literally thatyour a monster hunter. thats it. however each individual quest has its own backing story. And there is the talk in the offline villiage bout legendary hunters etc ( rom the guy by the exit tree mainly) so its not so bad.

Controls: 10/10
Some people say the controls are awkward but when you get used to them there great they just have a steep learning curve. item use it on L2 square and circle (with the addition of triangle for gunners.) all dodging is on circle and attacking on the right analogue stick. Can't fault them.

Gameplay: 11/10
This really shines online and offline. Offline it can be a little difficult but after a while you can easily floor any wyvern. Both modes involve you taking on individual quests to kill particular monster or steal eggs find items etc... most quests have wyverns flying around somewhere to make things awkward. There is no level up system in this game but your as strong as your equipment (which is made from the parts of monsters you kill) it is possible however to kill the most powerful of creatures with the starting equipment if your good enough. When online the creatures have there stats increased to make it better odds with a team. Carving parts from dead enemies is a great idea and it enables you to gain parts to make new weapons and armours, Wondering around the online town in full Monoblos or Gravios+ armour will gain respect from other hunters. In all the game is greatly done.

Rent or Buy: Buy
this game is defiantly worth getting so what are you waiting for?
