"One of the Greatest FPS, ever."

Battlefield is a great first person shooter, that makes feel as though you are actually a part of the war taking place!

Gameplay- 9/10
The campaign is amazing, you fight through many missions trying to receive as many medals and trying to advance your rank. There is over 50 weapons and 30 land, sea, and air vehicles. One of the most amazing parts of this game that sets it apart from other FPS, is the ability to control vehicle like helicopters, Hum V's, boats, tanks, and many more. The missions are all challenging and fun to play, with a variety of missions. Another amazing feature is the hotswap, this allows you to transfer into any soldiers body, with the click of a button. This comes in real handy, say you need a rocket launcher, just switch to some one that does(the soldiers have icons telling this) or if you are about to die, just switch to someone with more health. The game allows you to play on both sides of the war. The 1-player battles are intense and action packed! The online play allows for up to 24 players and has even more intense carnage, and game play. However, I was a little disappointed in that, unlike the previous Battlefield Vietnam , and Battlefield 1942 this version for the PS2 does not contain instant action, or even contain the same objective of just trying to take over bases. This one actually has a specific mission to complete and really does not have anything like the previous PC Battlefields. They do make up for it in the amount of entertainment this one provides, and the unique qualities of it.

graphics-7/10
The visuals were not exactly eye candy, but they do get the job done. The details in the vehicles are pretty good, and the environments are all different and well portrayed.

Sound-9/10
The sound makes you feel like you are in the battle and really come to life if you own surround sound, but if not they are still very sharp and clear.

Over all-
They game is a must have if you are a first person shooter fan, it is definitely one of the better titles for the PS2. It is worth every penny that you pay for it, so go ahead take this one off the shelf and into you r home!
