Need for Speed Most Wanted

I think EA did a pretty good job on this one. It combined the whole “underground” tuning aspect with the old NFS games. You know, running from the cops and being able to use exotic cars. Fun.

Sound/track
Ok I'm just gonna start with this one and get the bad out of the way. The soundtrack on this game sucked. There I said it. I had only heard one song on it and that was from NFL street 2 (another EA game by the way). The songs were not very good never mind popularity and I had not heard of the artists either.

The car sounds were pretty good though, along with all those inevitable crash sounds. But if you've been playing the game for a really long time and you're trying to get bounty… those sirens get really, really annoying. It was kind of the same thing with that police scanner. Helpful, but very annoying.

Overall sound rating: 6/10
If this was soundtrack alone, maybe a 3. I did not like this soundtrack.

Game play
I loved the game-play from this game. You get to race and run from the cops, sometimes at the same time. Sound like fun? Well it is. I really like the whole changing your car to make it look cool (which, by the way, you can now do everything in one shop instead of having to drive to one place for performance, another for paint, etc.). Two fun but at the same time frustrating things about this game is # 1 the bounty thing and #2 the further you get on this game, the police units get better. Another cool new feature is the speed breaker. You press O and it slows down time or something, giving you the chance to edge your way through a police trap.

Overall game-play rating: 9/10

Controls
These are the same as the other underground games. If you liked them, great. If you did not, whatever. I personally think the controls are pretty easy to use. As I said before, the new thing, speed breaker, is basically the only new control thing.

Graphics
Wow these graphics are pretty damn good. The cars are just amazing and look like the real cars and the scenery is pretty good as well. Like the other games, the weather changes, which can get annoying at times (really only when it is sunny but…). The only bad thing, I'm sure I'm not the only person who has noticed, the cars that have no importance are pretty disappointing compared to everything else.

This is a really fun game. Honestly, I think that it's the best NFS game yet. Something like 30 cars, cops, new race modes, customization. It's fun stuff. You should try it.
